It really stinks you can't change mains! I'm not really sure what to do with this blog to be honest. It was my first blog and for some reason I have a feeling I probably posted stupid things on here. I guess I'll just go through and clean it out then go from there!

The Confederate Flag Itself is not Racist
I try not to post things online that are about news, but I really hate that the Confederate flag is being called “the racist flag.” Many horrible people, like that skin-head, cancer of a person in Charleston use the flag, but it is not inheritently racist. The Confederate flag is meant to be a symbol of the Confederate army. Plenty of them were against slavery, like Robert E. Lee. The Confederate army's main issue was states' rights. They believed that different states had different needs, and should be treated as such. The Confederate flag stood for honor, for freedom, for states rights. Keep in mind Abraham Lincoln had no intentions of freeing the slaves, but stopping slavery from then on.
I hate how all of these neo-nazis are adopting it as their own. The nazis took the swastika from the buddists, they corrupted and ruined it. I had hope we would have been able to avoid changing more historical symbols into corrupt signs of anarchy and a lack of human compassion. I guess our society is not yet that advanced.
I would also like to add that removing the flag will not do anything to deter the skin-heads. It will only damage businesses. In South Carolina, many stores and shops, local businesses, sell shirts, mugs, and the like with the Confederate flag. Since it is the beginning of summer, they would have ordered a lot of products. Not only does this do nothing to affect the neo-nazis, but it hurts the economy and small business of South Carolina. People forget that the Confederate flag is held as a sign of honor, a memory of our ancestors. Being a descendant of both Jefferson Davis AND Abraham Lincoln, I should not have to give up the right to honor this side of my family. Would you ask me to destroy the kimono I inherited from my Japanese ancestors, the kilt brought from Aberdeen by my Scottish ancestors, or the candelabra smuggled out of nazi-occupied Berlin by my Jewish ancestors? Just as I would not be asked to get rid of these, I should not have to be asked to throw out the Confederate flag, a memory of part of my ancestory.

With just getting off from school, and having lost the inspiration to draw atm, I have decided to take a short break. I will come back though, promise! When I do, I’m going to hopefully work on revamping this blog. This blog was originally mean to be an art blog, so I’ll probably work on making it more of that. I’m not totally sure yet, I’ll let you all know as soon as I’ve decided. Thanks for understanding!

Just had a guy tried to feed me a load of bull about applying to be a Marine, but being turned down because he tore his coratid when someone punched him in the neck during baseball. Apperantly not only did they tell him to just tilt his head a certain way for the night, they sent him straight back to school the next day even though they thought it was torn in half, telling him to just come back the next day. Really? Are you serious? Do I look like an idiot? Do you think that will impress me?!
