There is a large difference between the kinds of… ‘affection’ Shaiapouf would show in regards to those who he would interact with. You’d think for a guy that openly has his own break-downs he wouldn’t be shy of displaying any form of affection. That is true whenever his King is around… but true affection for an individual that he would consider as an equal to himself is different.

In fact, he would be more inclined to keep any form of affection behind private doors, and rare is it in general for him to be doing such actions. In general, him being tolerant of another’s antics is the closest thing of ‘affection’ he should show given his current developments as an individual and not just a ‘chimera ant’ (cough near nonexistent). For him, it’s natural as breathing to worship someone who is higher than him, but hardly ever once did he ever consider another individual an equal and therefore can be inexperienced and hesitant.

Yukio cared little for the outdoors, really. He wasn’t interested in ‘embracing nature’ or being in public settings. He was perfectly fine outside of them, preferably in the comfort of his own home, a new game and patterned buttons beneath his fingers. The only reason he’s out here is because he lacks that, and SOMETHING has to occupy his time.

Nothing catches his interest in the least, as expected. Why were they always nagging him to go outside more if it was so boring? What a waste of time. Due to the fact everything seems painfully ordinary, he debates on pausing his excursion and just going home, but pauses once he spots somebody crouched over a bed of flowers. 

Aside from the fact his skin is creepily discolored, he seems to be hunched over, doing god knows what. He’s got no tools from what Yukio can see, and the way he’s just sitting there earns a blank look for a couple moments.

“Staring isn’t going to make them grow any faster.”

No King and no violin. Perhaps the only thing that was keeping the chimera ant from absolutely breaking down was his attempt to find a different hobby (and the fact that so far he had not seen other chimera ants or Royal Guards).

Besides, he cried to himself already in the privacy of his horrible hut... but crying all the time wouldn’t solve anything.

But back to his search of something to pass the time, trying to ask the same questions and similar answers were getting him nowhere. As  persistent he might have been in trying to do anything that would shed some light in escaping, he met an informational block and concluded that, until he had access to better sources, the energy spent would  be pointless.

An unfamiliar voice spoke, and he knew that  it was addressing him.

“You think I wouldn’t know?” A sigh, and he finally stood up. Even at his low, Shaiapouf found it within himself to speak with his ‘higher than thou’ tone.

“Is admiring flowers truly a crime?”

For a person that basically seen penguins with ponytails and a spider with a receding hairline of a middle-aged man one would think that he wouldn’t question seeing hair on a human. Actually the hair itself wasn’t the main issue, but rather with out it was styled.

It was... unique in certain angles if he had to put it lightly. For a single minded being like Shaiapouf, even he opinions on fashion.

Sorry for the inactivity this weekend. I don’t know how to  feel when on Friday night you get an email saying that you need to finish 9001 things by Monday. I’ll get my ass in gear this week and whatnot in replies and starters.

Shaiapouf avoided staying for far too in his own district whenever he could. It was... disgusting. Putting aside the obvious health hazards District Beta had, just any place in general that had leaks of unknown fluid did no good for a man with wings as delicate as a butterfly’s. (Technically they are butterfly wings, but what’s the point of arguing technicalities with himself?)

One would think that being born and living in a giant tower of what basically comprised of dry mud and probably spit would have this guy used to unsightly housing... but spending a couple of days in a palace prior to his arrival here might as well influenced his preferences. 

So here he was visiting one of the parks in Sector 6 instead. If he wasn’t sticking his nose into any plausible source of information, he would be here. True to his own instincts, he gravitated towards the flowers. Hunger hasn’t beset him set, but a flower or two to hold back the taste for flesh would be good enough for now.
