☆☆☆ He probably should find something to do here. It’s slightly irritating not to have any guidance, but it’s not like he can’t handle being on his own. He doesn’t need people telling him what to do all the time; he, Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto all did fine on their own, right?

He just… could use some suggestions, that’s all.

He also could use friends. He’s not too proud admit that he’s a little lonely, but he knows how to fix that at least. When he stumbles across someone who seems to almost be lurking he’s intrigued, and cannot help but approach. He looks like the kind of person who might know a good place for a hunt or two.

“Hey, uh, you been around here a while…?” It’s an awkward introduction, but it’s something.

Uh-oh; busted.

Rather than run, Erik tugs his hood off, letting it fall against his back with a shrug. Sometimes people watching can be done in peace, and othertimes, said people are just too observant. Then again, he wasn’t exactly being subtle, either. He still isn’t quite familiar enough with Spirale to fade into the background entirely to his liking.

❝If I’m honest, I’ve been here too long for my tastes,❞ he responds evenly. If nothing else, the other person seems reasonable at first glance. He could do worse. ❝But if you’re looking for a more straightforward answer, it hasn’t really been that long.❞

Only primates it seems.” at the very least Riz understood his scientific terms since it does play a big deal in the social structure of animal kingdom so to speak.

“In my city, carnivores are never allowed to eat other animals. [though that doesn’t stop them] So we only have protein from other products like vegetables.”

Of course the other wasn’t talking about pets or anything like that. A bear with a pet rabbit would be absurd... right? A face did come to mind, though... after all, didn’t he have a friend who was rabbit-like? Okay, point proven; he shook his head to clear the thought.

❝I’ve never heard of anything like that... so all of this must be pretty bizarre for you.❞ Moreso than for Erik, himself, at least. Though nothing was all that familiar, at least he was surrounded by people who looked to be more or less the same species as him. The laws seemed relatively similar thus far to what he was used to, as well. Compared to this bear, he had it pretty good.

❝Alrighty then-- is there something I can to do lend you a hand with your groceries? It’ll help me gather my own bearings, and you can tell me more about your home if you want.❞

⚡ “I’m okay? Never mind tha’… you’re alright!”

Lev’s face was as bright as it was concerned, a thousand feelings condensed into one gaze. It took all his willpower to step slowly towards Erik, to not barrel into him with a hug for the sheer joy of knowing he was here and okay and alive. He couldn’t help but repeat himself - eventually, he reached out a hand towards Erik’s, taking the other’s hand in his, squeezing it to prove to himself that Erik was real.

A soft exhale, and Lev nodded once more.

“Comparin’ notes sounds good.”

That pretty much ruled out any chance of this being an illusion-- that, or it was a particularly convincing one. The heat of Lev’s skin was a powerful grounding force, and it was all the thief could do to refrain from a squeeze of his own, thankful for the comfort of familiar companionship. Still, he couldn’t help but feel just a twinge of the old awe and shock-- here was The Luminary, of all people, so concerned about someone as insignificant as Erik. What kind of reckless, selfless nonsense..?

❝Honestly..❞ he mumbled, shaking his head with an embarrassed chuckle. Averting his gaze after what was probably a bit too long, he started scanning for a table or something. The unfamiliarity of the scenery was sobering, too, and his expression fell back to something more neutral in no time.

❝Actually... Let’s walk, and if anything catches your eye, we’ll check it out. There’s a lot of shops and things like that around here, and I haven’t had a chance to look into most of ‘em yet.❞

One of the ones I think of is Fortune Days by The Glitch Mob. To me, it sounds very determined. Like a lot of TGM’s songs, there’s a part where it sounds like the song is about to end... but it doesn’t. It gets back up and keeps on going for a bit longer.
