GQ: What was the most rewarding part of working with Austin during this time?
Roy Chan: I would say it’s seeing him take his fitness and health to a new peak. This is why I do this. When we finished with him and took some of these photos, I was like, “Damn, when did you surpass me that much?” It’s one of those feelings of oh, shoot, the student has really surpassed the teacher. Austin’s done such a good job, and I’m so proud of him. He’s such a great guy. You know, everybody would say the same about him. I’m rooting for him, and I think he has a really long career ahead of him.
