HAVE THAT CHARACTER GAIN WEIGHT AS A SIGN OF HEALING: NOW
I finally got around to the Alan Wake games. Yesterday I finished the second one, and I'm still in ecstasy about it!!!
Me reading Myths of Sheogorath: but surely I would be fine if I talked to him cause he'd sense my goofy heart and my silly intentions
yeah yeah rainbow capitalism is bad and whatever but like. when I was a child, being pro gay was not the popular or lucrative choice. I'm happy that times have changed.
I miss rainbow capitalism. I do. I miss when it felt like public opinion was still pro gay. I understand it was always an empty gesture, but it mattered in a sense of knowing how socially acceptable being queer is. If that makes sense.
when i was homeless during undergrad i repeatedly had to stay in a dodgy motel bc it was the only one within walking distance to my school and overall it was better than it could've been bc the manager was really nice. i lived in several rooms but one in particular stays with me because someone wrote on the door in sharpie "CRAZY EYE AND HOTTIE" and for some reason it was so evocative to me as if their names somehow sanctified the space. my friend and i still invoke their names as if in prayer. it's been nearly a decade and we'll be somewhere sketchy and say like 'crazy eye and hottie, watch over us'
that poll going around of the guy who thought "people only eat tofu as a bit because they're deranged vegans" or whatever really crystalizes something that i have never been able to precisely say - which is "a nonzero fraction of people who start picky-eater discourse just happen to precisely hate those foods which are not from north america and refuse to introspect on this whatsoever"
In contrast some people say "there aren't any picky eaters in Asia 🙄" but this is laughably untrue. I have a cousin in India who refused until his 20s to eat anything in a sauce. as you can imagine in India this was difficult. he basically had to pick things out of curry and wipe them dry
"why can't they just be friends?" not in the homophobic sense, but in the "in your need to center romance in everything you are missing the whole point of the media in question" sense
white people have the sauce sometimes and dont even know it
i just saw a youtube short of brandon sanderson on a podcast. the whole time hes talking hes doing book signings. what a flex. so many bitches on my dick i gotta multitask
brandon sanderson is actually just built different. once on a podcast with patrick rothfuss they were talking about tools to write better and he said "i try to limit myself to 8 hours of writing per day." he took time off of writing during the first year of covid and accidentally wrote four unplanned books. he teaches a class at byu. his wife has a codeword to get him to stop writing in his head because at any given moment you might think he's doing something normal but no he's also writing another novel. stephen king said he's insane
via queenofattolia: #stephen king said he's insane: most damning sentence ever written
I don't watch many shows so I thought this was about regular doctors at first and was willing to agree with the post. You just never know in healthcare
It’s fascinating hearing how other people think. My dad says he has to think of a full sentence word for word before he says it whereas I don’t know what I’m gonna say until I’ve already said it.
