Using 2D lights for a 2.5D isometric-ish view can be tricky at times. This particular one is done with a wall collider on a "tall walls" layer. If I want a wall to not block light I put it on a "short walls" layer. "Blocking" is done by changing flashlight's light distance.

The Bool Plus

OK. It's actually "Auto", not "maybe" I use it if I have a bunch of on/off options I'll be applying to objects, set through Unity inspector and I needed a state that would basically say "don't change current state". I know it could be done in a million different ways but oh well.

This was a test of how items will be displayed when examining them in Deep Sleep. Every inventory item will have a low poly 3D model.

Of course the animation will usually only play during certain occasions, not constantly.

Nerd fact: there is no light source in this scene, each face of the model gets darker the more perpendicular to the camera it becomes.

This still needs some work but since I wanted to finally post something here, there it is! Quite happy with the effect and most of it is not even shaders, just sprites with normal maps. Either way, I wouldn’t drink that water if I were you.
