Hello! My name is AbsoluteDingus. You might know me from things like “nothing” because I don’t matter, but I’m here today because I want to talk about a situation I’ve been lurking in for a few months now involving a website known as Character.ai Character.ai is a website where you may talk with chatbots designed by users to act in certain ways. For example, I’ve made chatbots of Nintendo characters like Mario, and it acts just like Mario! It’s got the accent, the fun personality, everything! It’s an extremely impressive piece of work, and I have no idea how it was made or anything like that, but I’ve had a lot of fun tinkering with it.

It’s development team and their process of how they communicate and interact with the community, however, is a complete and utter shitshow.
