again [ruby/yang]
burnelled:
This is yet another blow to her weakened spirit, to witness the look in those silver eyes, and how she was at a loss of words. This is Ruby Rose, the girl who never knows when to stop talking, a literal ray of sunshine ( it runs in the family apparently ), and her dearest person in the entire world. Yang cant help but feel like a disappointment.Ā As absurd as her reasoning is, she canāt be blamed for thinking so when sheās supposed to be a role model.
A heavy sigh whisks past her lips, dulled lilacs dragging themselves to look at Ruby, one hand raised and pointed at the nearby chair.
āHey⦠you should sit.ā this wonāt be pretty, Yang thinks, itās best for Ruby to sit tight.Ā āRuby,Ā Iāll tell you but you have to promiseā¦that you wonāt do anything reckless.ā
Could this assembling get any gloomier? Yang doubted it. Part of her just wanted to give the other a big hug, but with what remaining strength? Not only was her spirited crushed, but physically she felt like crap. These medicines help, but are also a double-edged sword.
āIām sorry you gotta see me like this again, Iāā she trailed off, hand resting on her lap whilst taking a deep breath, she canāt let her voice crack now..Ā āIām an idiot, Ruby.ā
āShush... I donāt wanna hear you beat yourself up, okay? I donāt...ā
Ruby took a seat, folding her hands in her lap and looking into her sisterās eyes. She wanted to know why things like this kept happening to the people she cared about, she wanted to be able to stop things before they happened, she wanted to be someone who could protect what she wanted to protect...
More than anything, she wanted to be able to hug her sister here and now. But Yang was in such a dour mood, it felt like there was solid lead in the air between them, and Ruby couldnāt bring herself to close the distance.
ā...I promise I wonāt do anything reckless. Just... tell me what happened. Please.ā
