They say nobody cares about fan art or fanfic for that niche animated show that was cancelled or is on indefinite hiatusâŠ
Except ME!
I want fan content from that animated show!
that's the type of shit I'm on

This comic is 25 YEARS OLD. This doesn't feel like a joke anymore.
First question: What is it about this show that you love so much? Second question: Do you believe that, if enough people show interest, a fan comic book sequel â or something along those lines â could actually happen?
I'mma be honest chief, Emilia is like 80% of it. She's so expressive, energetic and adorable, she's basically the entire reason I even started watching the show
Most definitely, yeah! Beyond the initial stories adapted by the show, there's tons of other books Lobato wrote with these characters, including ones featuring a "Land of Grammar", Hercules, even the friggin' Minotaur! Even beyond that, so much potential for new adventures with the characters, including ones you could never tell within the confines of an 11-minute kids show.
I found a doodle of the cute little doll girl and now im intrigued. Tell me more! Also, is there a place I can watch this in english subs?
Well, since you're all ears, let me lay it all out for you:
This is EmĂlia, a ragdoll created by one Aunt Nastacia, and brought to life by a "talking pill", although the implication is that she was always technically sentient since the day she was made, just inanimate.
As you can see, she is very expressive and adorable.
She's also kind of a biological anomaly, but that's a post for another time.
She comes from a book series called "Sitio Do Picpau Amarelo", or "Yellow Woodpecker Farm", written by Monteiro Lobato, one of Brazil's most influential writers, which among other things, got turned into a cartoon in 2012, which is the version I'm most interested in.
Basically, there's this farm in the middle of Brazil where just about anything can happen, like an ear of corn that knows math, a evil crocodile witch, or a talking ragdoll!
The show ran from 2012 to 2016 for three seasons of 26 11-minute episodes on both Rede Globo and Cartoon Network in Latin America. Sadly, aside from some DVD releases, the show's never had an official release beyond its initial airings, you're not gonna find it on any streaming services that I know of, even with a VPN.
Which brings us to the good news: the entire show is archived and fansubbed over on Internet Archive! Be warned though, the first two seasons are .mkv files, so you'll need a program that can play them, like VLC Player if you want subtitles, since IA's video player doesn't seem to support subs.
Thank you so much for coming to me about this show, it means a lot to me, and it's half the reason why I started this blog.
(For English speakers, original text is in the read more)
I know O sitio do picapau amarelo since 2014 (when I was a 13-year-old watching the cartoon version on Tooncast in Spanish dub đđ) so it's so cool to find more fans of the show here on Tumblr!!! I love your blog!
Thank you so much! It's so nice to find other fans of this show, Brazilian or otherwise, because not many people I know are into this show.
Also, was there really a Spanish dub? I've only ever seen it in Portuguese.
well shit, this blog's getting some actually activity. maybe I should start posting more.
[C] 'Mario+Luigi' Style: Max (CC) + Emilia (SDPA) by Mast3r-Rainb0w
A commission via DeviantArt. Two unrelated characters featured here! It's Max from the American adult animated series Camp Camp, accompanied by Emilia from the Brazilian children's series "Sitio Do Picapau Amarelo" (more specifically the 2012 animated series), both drawn in my signature "Mario & Luigi" RPG imitation style! This artwork was 100% fanmade by yours truly! Enjoy!

I made a vow years ago to always have this image on hand when someone needed it because I was in your shoes once. Enjoy, stranger.
thank you. it is now march madness time.
Hello, I'm found this cartoon and I'm trying to find a way to watch it myself, but the MEGA link isn't working anymore. Do you know where else I could find English episodes?
Yeah, some blessed soul put them all on internet archive, go nuts
