Having fun with modded Sonic Racing again
Had design ideas for Phantom and Irid fankids
Officially done with the sketches for Lace's portion of this (meaning I'm 1/3rd done with sketching the whole thing), so have a few more snippets
Happy pride month! I've got two new OCs (she/her for both). No names for them yet. They're a wasp mimicking moth and an actual wasp
Working on a little project
I'm splitting Unweaving the Tapestry of Fate into a series of fics for organization purposes rather than having it all be in one giant one-shot collection. The original fic has instead been changed so the first chapter is now the only one, and will act as an alternate POV for scenes in Satin's fic, Cutting the Rot.
Phantom's chapter has been moved here, and I will release the other two eventually.
I've also made a new blog for Unweaving Fate. I will still post art relating to it here on the artblog, this new one is just for organization purposes and text posts relating to the au such as lore, sneak peaks, and updates.

For the WIP Word Game
Support
Ignore how long it took me to answer this shhh.
Ask is related to this meme here!
A bit of cheating here mostly because this is somehow the only wip I have that's used the word support in any capacity. This was posted as a part in a 5 + 1 style of oneshot but I'm now going to be expanding upon it and making each part into its own chapter for a longer fic. So it technically counts as a wip again!
Gave Garbadine a slight redesign now that I've hammered out silkbug anatomy. After leaving the Citadel, Garbadine would wander the wastes for a long time. She would terrorize whatever civilization she came across, then wander off to the next one when bugs started closing in on her hideout. She would occasionally buy silk if she came across it with the currency she stole from her victims.
WIP Word Guessing Game
Rules: Send me an ask with a word and I'll post a sentence or paragraph from one of my WIPs that contains that word!
If you manage to stump me, I'll write three sentences and share these.
If you want to play please feel free to reblog/repost this so people can send you words.
A collection of thoughts on the silken beings' anatomy that I've had floating through my head my beloved helped me hammer out.
More details:
Stuffing is used to repair outer silk, but can also be absorbed back into the spool to be converted into soul when needed.
The silken beings run on a hydraulics system via the tubing in their bodies. Severing, or severe damage to, a tube will prevent that limb from being used until it's repaired.
The inner portion of Phantom's spool no longer works; they've been starved so long of soul so long it can't spin it into silk anymore. They are mostly dry at this point, and only have enough soul left in them to move their limbs. But even that's running out by the time Silksong happens.
Their spool was also empty, and their stuffing had all been used up. Their body started to weave the ropes into their outer silk in an attempt to repair them. This led to stiffness and pain as their body basically started eating itself in an attempt to keep them alive.
While some of their problems can be fixed with repairs, the damage to their spool is permanent. Even after being repaired, Phantom cannot revert spun silk into soul and vise versa. They're basically a soul vampire now, and need to consume both soul and spun silk to sustain themself.
The damage to their spool also results in their body being less efficient in pumping the soul through their tubing, leading to energy crashes after a period of activity. The only way to fix this is replacing the spool, but this has a very high likelihood of killing them or causing even more damage.
Fly Analysis
This theory's been bouncing around my head for a while. It's widely accepted at this point in the fandom that the Pinstresses might have originally come from Bilewater. But I think there's more characters who could have been from Bilewater than just them and the Stilkin.
There are many enemies that wield pins in this game, many of them silver. But all of them have a hooked end. The only time we see see a silver pin with a rounded end is in the guardfly, the roachfeeder, and Pinstress herself.
I have so many thoughts about Phantom's unhealthy relationship with their own emotions
MERMAY IS HERE featuring some courting differences between sirens and tropical mers
Legend of Spyro AU time. This being an AU a lot has been changed from TLOS canon. Including that dragons can learn other elements through time and effort. Hornet's primary element is electricity, but she's learned the basics fire, poison, and ice for practical reasons.
The silkblings are creatures created in an experiment by GMS, from pure aether energy. They weren't born with an element, but eventually learned them. Lace learned Wind, and Phantom learned fire.
Being made of elemental energy, the silkblings survive on it. They can usually get by with green crystals, but can also take it from other dragons if desperate enough. Phantom changed their element to shadow after their exile, and is now basically made entirely of shadow energy. They can solidify themself, but it takes a lot of energy to do so, and being as starved of it as they are, it's not a good idea to do so. They steal energy from pilgrims who try to travel through the Exhaust Organ.
