Inspired by old royal Thai cookbook, this restaurant transformed tastes so familiar to us into something very unique, with modern styling and presentation, @hue.restaurant certainly is definitely a restaurant worth your visit. The decor is modern with elephant motif at the back, quite interesting and comfortable. ———————————— [Melon First] We were first presented 2 cubes of melon, on the house. Topped with salted fish bits, crispy fried shallots and sprinkle of sugar, it was very delightful starter for the meal. [Pulps Garden] Pomelo salad with a twist. Added with diced Tiger prawn and some pomegranate with some sliced kaffir lime leaves, it was tossed together with peanuts, shallots, chilli and lime juice. Familiar with something new. Very addictive indeed. [Three Little Pigs] Now, this is a version of roast pork belly which I could never get tired of. Coated with pesto of garlic, coriander, white pepper and chopped chili, the chunky meat cubes were such a delight to enjoy. Slight crisp from roasting, strong and rich flavour just whet the appetite even more. [Wrap It Up] Now, you can play with your own food. The sautéed minced pork was mixed in with coriander, crushed peanuts, chopped chilli and flat noodle, then scooped into butterhead lettuce, and enjoyed as salad. Interesting presentation, though the flavour did not come up very strongly. Could use a bit more fish sauce to bring out the flavour. [Paper Fish] Steamed fish in parcel, how interesting!!
