I always thought blonde streaks would look good with red hair and be original. I forgot that this was an iconic look of David Bowie, haha. (Shitty phone camera quality)
Poetry and Music
A friend has recently been showing me poetry, something I haven’t really looked into much. I regret not looking into, as I find it’s quite beautiful, and me being a very emotional, introverted person, can usually related to what a lot of the classic poets have to say.
This lead me to realize that what I like most about music, is the lyrics, and not necessarily the music itself (Although other factors like instruments, beats, execution of voice do add positively to the formula). I’ve even found (thanks to the same friend) songs that I like especially are based off of poetry. Songs like The Cure’s How Beautiful You Are, and Bjork’s Dull Flame of Desire. I remember trying to read through Shakespeare’s sonnets not too long ago, and although I found the language beautiful I found it hard to follow as the language was a little antiquated. It’s something I’ll have to get back to after I’m more veteraned in poetry reading and understanding I think. Right now I’m reading Poe and I’m enjoying it’s dark, macabre and lonely feeling. I feel as if I’ll enjoy reading early 1900′s Russian poetry too, as I like the literature of the era, and I tend to enjoy the entire existential and depressing atmosphere of Russia at the time. In general though, I’ve been feeling a little depressed as of late, and I don’t think reading poetry will help. I need social interaction, to change my life and do something exciting. I want to meet new people. There’s nothing wrong with my current friends, I just find it hard to have a mutual understanding with them. Although I’ve never met anyone who I could truly mutual understand.

Sometimes I look okay.
“As much as I definitely enjoy solitude, I wouldn’t mind spending a little time with you. Sometimes... sometimes.”
I’ve always loved this song and video.
