GENERAL HC INFO ( I need sometime to describe more ) 

damon hates the image and concept of alcoholic 40+ year old men. they remind him of HIS OWN ALCOHOLIC FATHER and how it affected his life. he despises them. he does not even want to t a s t e their blood. he right away either hurts them very badly or just snaps their neck in case he meets one. 

c. giuseppe salvatore ( his father ) might have been an alcoholic and abusive father but HE ALSO TRIED TO GIVE THE BEST EDUCATION & LIFE to his children. his wife’s death affected him also heavily and ended up him being an alcoholic and being abusive often in ways he did not realise himself. he got frustrated when his sons did something that would r u i n their future. he often did not think clearly. c. giuseppe salvatore would never ALLOW ANYONE embarass or hurt his sons. even if he did it himself. was too proud to admit it. drowned himself in even more alcohol. HE DID NOT THINK LOW OF HIS SONS, more like the opposite which is the reason he could not control himself when he was disappointed. yet he never was able to show it in front of them either. he pointed at their flaws they SHOULD FIX to be perfect. but when he had to talk about his sons he talked with admiration.

LIKE SERIOUSLY damon who can’t forgive for stefan being born. he WOULD NEVER EVER forgive katherine. mostly after five-hundred years of vampirism where his love for her BECOMES A MEMORY. she comes back. she LIED to him. the only positive thing he feels is him being THANKFUL for making a vampire. like there’s zero care and interest what she is doing with herself. DAMON WAS ALWAYS SELF-CENTERED so when he abuses his own little brother for existing, his first love WHO HE HAD AT THE AGE OF 22 which means HE NEVER EVEN CARED ABOUT LOVE IN THE FKN TEENHOOD won’t be forever with him. at some point it would become a memory and by the time she comes back it’s that.
