Last year I learned that some people use whole candied pineapples as centerpieces when I came across one for sale, and I've been totally fascinated by the object ever since.

I took a lot of liberties with the colors here, but I've gotten a lot of great feedback on this one!
I really like these bold formats that keep the focus on lines and textures. This time I decided to put movement front and center to give this composition a fresher feel. Different pears have very different textures, so which sports or colors would you want modeled like this?
This study's inspired a new project I'm calling 'hues for every season'. I'll be posting it's development over on Kofi, so if you want to see even more behind-the-scenes details from my studio you can find that via the linktree in my bio.
Looking back on these snapshots from my very first visit to Berlin. I wanted to capture those awesome mid-summer vibes, and these little memories ended up making a great autumn snail mail gift.
Botanicals make for great subjects, I'm in love with the gestures of wild rosemary. It would be really fun to illustrate more ingredients or tasting notes for someone reaching out to connoisseurs!

Making my way through the second entry for this collage of Hamburg's skyline with a corner of the Stadthöfe.
This project reminded me of reading David Macaulay's books in school, which are what first got me into pen and ink drawing. They also helped me realize that representational art can still be a form of interpretation, which turned out to be pretty foundational to my career as an artist
Here's to a happy and healthy and colorful new year!
New Year's Eve had me in the mood for a classic French 75, but I'm looking forward to layering up far more complex drinks as well. If you're proud of a house cocktail, a bespoke recipe print makes a great parting gift or accent piece. I'm totally in love with the idea of handing these super customizable recipe cards out as party favors or just to keep beloved calls close at hand
Hamburg likes to bill itself as the prettiest city in Germany. I won't say whether I agree, but I will say I'm planning a lot of new projects after my trip. I'm not sure whether this piece will scale down into a printable coloring sheet or maybe a super special concertina card, but I know I'm not the only one who wants a piece of Hamburg's beautiful skyline. For this one I picked 6 really interesting buildings from my photo roll, so I hope you'll check back in as I finish building out this collage!
Another successful experiment. Too successful even...
Here's 4 technical takes on the same design. I think my favorite is number 1, but don''t tell the others!
Before and After
I was tempted to leave the tape on - it adds so much visual interest! But in the end, I'm really happy with it
For early starlight season I finally got around to two very different items on my to-do list: seeing Paris and reading Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh stories. I put them together and arrived at this new print series, The Yule at 2eme Corner
A lot of people haven't caught this one, even though the main castle nearby gets so many visitors. Unfortunately they're temporarily closed to visitors for some reason. Supposedly they've got a spectacular porcelain collection inside. Always a bit amazing how much friendly neighborhood urban exploring leads you right to "temporary" "closures" even in green spaces.
There's a bear for every day of the year.
These little guys are just too good
