Rogue can’t mature into anything while she’s trapped being a trad wife 🤷🏼♀️ it’s a cause & effect cycle. Every time she’s been written well it doesn’t revolve around her being married/in a relationship, the ship factor needs to be removed before she can be anything other than bossy, stuck up wifey. But that will upset too many people I guess 🧐😅 Rogue wasn’t created for traditional values, she was created outside that box. Putting her in it removed the intended purpose of her character. People think she was obsessed with love in a sexual and romantic way, yes that was an aspect but what she really wanted was to be able to have physical connection with her friends and chosen family as strong as the emotional connections she had formed. She was supposed to mature to see beyond the traditional values of love and societies standers of what love is particularly for women, instead she was objectified and used by writers as self insert and love interest for their self insert or for the writers own beliefs on what woman should be. That’s what a real girl boss Rogue would have been, not little miss crybaby that we have now. Or bratty Moonbeam as she’s been reduced to by her self appointed fanfic makers😂😂😵💫 Her name is Rogue for a reason, she was written to be the opposite of what women in comics already were, we had girlboss powerhouse wife already. Miss Jean Grey, back when she was loved and respected by a loving loyal Scott Summers, funny how a certain ship popping up has such a knock on effect for so many other characters, stealing powers and storylines and other peoples husbands 💅🏼 when she could have been a powerful icon🤡
