Miles: Um hi Mr. Stark. This is Miles
Miles: Morales. Miles Morales. Peter Parker gave me your number and told me to text you?
Flash took a breath. There was nothing like New York City at night. Nothing. Far below him, the traffic blared even this late, and the lights still reflected off the glass skyscrapers like stars. He’d missed this, New York was in his blood and it was good to be home. He just wished it was under different circumstances. He’d spent his whole life watching superheroes battling for control of the city, risking their lives to save them all against the monsters and villains that tried to destroy everything. When he was younger, he would have given anything to join them.
Now that he had, he wondered if the price had been too high.
The symbiote was quiet for now, a subtle restlessness in his veins. It was hungry, but content to wait, and Flash knew all it needed was a rush of adrenaline. In this job, that was a guarantee. Don’t worry, buddy. We’ll take it easy tonight. He promised and hoped he’d be able to follow through. He took another breath, filling his lungs with New York City as he stepped up to the edge of the building.
My name is Eugene Thompson, and this is my city.
With a whoop, he launched himself into nothingness, letting himself plummet down towards the sidewalk. He snapped his wrists, webbing catching the building across the street. He swung himself back up into the air, muscles pulling with the weight, and tagged the next building with his web. Yeah, this might just be a good night.
Every bone in the body of Miles Morales was aching from a mix of exhaustion, and the abuse that he’d taken from his various enemies throughout the night. But, if there was one good thing that could be said, it was that as of tomorrow, he would be done with summer school(he only wished he’d paid more attention in his english class to begin with and summer school hadn’t been necessary), and free of the burden of homework and studying until late August. Sure, that didn’t make things a whole lot easier on him, considering he still had to pick up Peter’s slack as Spider-Man until he was healed, but in times like these, he had to celebrate any victories that he got; no matter how small they were.
Satisfied that he had done as much as he could for the night, Miles landed on the nearest rooftop, and took a seat along the ledge, giving himself a minute of rest before the long swing back to his home in Brooklyn. He exhaled a long sigh, and was half way through flopping himself down onto his back, when he noticed something strange out of the corner of his eye, and he sat up straight again just as the sight disappeared behind the obstruction of the building. He watched carefully, feeling sure that he must have imagined it, feeling almost positive that there was no way he could have seen what he thought he saw, only to catch a glimpse of it again, confirming that he wasn’t imagining things; there was yet another Spider-Person swinging around New York.
Groaning due to the fact that his curiosity was demanding he investigate despite his exhaustion, Miles leaped off the ledge of the building and swung after the mysterious figure at top speed. As he caught up, he fell into a swinging stride beside the other and glanced over curiously. “Um hi?” He yelled over, giving a small wave with the hand that wasn’t holding onto a web-line at that particular moment. “Would you be able to show me your Spider-Club membership? Cuz I gotta tell ya, without one this is kinda a no swing zone” The words felt lame coming out of his mouth, but there was a slight feeling of satisfaction in Miles over the fact that he was sure Peter would have been proud if he’d been there to hear it.

A heavy sigh filled with audible exhaustion passed through Miles’ lips as he made his way into Peter’s bedroom through the window, before dropping down from the ceiling and crumbling into a tired pile on the floor. As he pulled the mask from his face and adjusted himself so that he was lying on his back and staring up at the spot on the ceiling he had just dropped down from, he groaned. “That...was a long night.” He said. “The criminals are definitely taking advantage of the fact that there’s so much internal conflict going on between the good guys. Even if we were both out there, it probably still would have been too much. And then I ran out of web-fluid, which didn’t make things any easier. I’ll need you to make me some more” He sighed again and shook his head. “I dunno how you did this by yourself for so long. I’ve only been at it a few days and I already feel like I need to hibernate for a year”
Miles was tired, both mentally and physically. Between school, and the more and more time he spent being Spider-Man, no amount of sleep seemed to be enough these days. Throw in the fact that it was Shakespeare, which he didn’t understand in the slightest, that he was supposed to be reading for an essay, and it really wasn’t overly surprising that he fell asleep with his face in the book while sitting all by himself at a small table in his favorite little café. Waking up quite suddenly with a start, Miles looked around frantically, trying to find what had woken him. He then felt heat rise in his cheeks as he heard a group of girls giggling at him from a few tables over, and he slowly raised the book to cover his face and hide his embarrassment.
Jordan Fisher || Miles Morales || Spider-Man Two || 18 || Male || Brooklyn, NY || High School Student || Registered || PLAYED BY DEE
biography:
“Does the world really need two Spider-Mans?” That was the question that kept Miles Morales from using his powers for the first two years that he had them. A bite from a spider that had crawled into his Uncle Aaron’s bag during a break in to an Oscorp Industries lab had left Miles with abilities that were undeniably similar to a certain superhero who swung around New York wearing red and blue spandex. However, far from being excited by this fact, Miles was nauseated by the idea that he was no longer normal; a feeling that was only enhanced by his father’s vehement dislike for mutants and super powered beings. Wanting nothing to do with these new abilities he possessed, Miles went on living as though he didn’t have them at all.
The call to action was one that Miles managed to ignore for a long time, but there finally came a point when he could ignore it no longer; witnessing Spider-Man struggling in a fight against a particularly powerful foe, Miles decided to step in and help, and together, the two Spider-Men were able to defeat the villains and have them put behind bars. Though there had been no intention in Miles for this action to be the beginning of something, after that, it got much harder for him to ignore the fact that he had something to offer the world, and that it felt good to do so. Though on the surface, he still wanted no part of being a superhero full time, Miles found himself getting dragged into fighting crime more and more from then on.
Now, with everything happening with the Accords, Miles finds himself in the midst of a trial by fire. The life of a superhero that he had spent so much time rejecting has become infinitely more complicated right as he’s beginning to embrace it. He’s signed the Accords, but still questions whether he wants any part of this at all. He only hopes that by signing the Accords, he hasn;t gotten himself into something he won’t be able to get out of.
favorite avenger?
“Cap for sure. He’s a Brooklyn kid, just like me. Well... except cooler...and with a kickass shield that’s made of metal but bounces like rubber. I wish I knew where I could get me one of those.”
Miles Morales and The MCU
Hey everyone! I’m Dee and I’ll be playing the lovely goober that is Miles Morales. I’m making this post to explain that this version of Miles I’m playing is my own interpretation of what I think MCU Miles could be like. In most respects, I’m going to keep his comic canon, but seeing as I’m playing him as being the same age as Peter, in a world where Peter is still alive, some adjustments needed to be made. I’ll outline these changes below:
- Miles has had his powers for three years. He would have gotten them shortly after Peter got his. However, Miles didn’t want any part of being a superhero (much like his comic book counterpart) and has just pretended as though he doesn’t have them at all, up until recently.
- Because Peter Parker is still alive, his death can’t be what inspired Miles to finally take that step and use his powers to help people. Instead, Miles was inspired to go into action after witnessing Spider-Man (Peter) struggling to fight The Sinister Six by himself. He stepped in to help, and together, the two of them were able to defeat them.
-Miles does not have the venom blast or invisibility powers that he has in the comics. His powers are the same as Peter’s, since he was bitten by the same kind of spider.
-Miles goes to Midtown High, just like Peter. He still lives in Brooklyn like he does in the comics, but goes to Midtown due to the fact it’s a Science high school.
I think that’s pretty much it. If anyone wants to plot anything, please don’t heistate to shoot me a message and we’ll make something happen for sure!
