Darkstar held his head high as he walked by the border. His surroundings were tinted with a darker, soothing shade, and the sky was a calming light blue. If one looked over the trees and looked carefully, they could see few rays of dull sunlight, signalling the sun's arrival in a few hours. Despite the serenity of his surroundings, Darkstar was on edge for two different reasons: 1. There was a strange smell nearby the border. 2. Everything surrounding the prophecy.
The way Graypounce got that prophecy made him feel so queasy. If Star Clan were made out of all-knowing and wise cats, than why did Fogstar give it right when she was jumping for a prey? The fact that the former leader risked his deputy's health for a prophecy that could've been delivered anytime angered him. Why would she make such a risky decision? What if Graypounce broke her neck, than what? Who would get that prophecy than, Roachtimber? Would Fogstar do the same thing to her too? The idea of losing both his deputy and medicine cat as the result of the former leader's incompetence made the fur on his neck raise slightly. He felt air rise and stay at the back of his throat, ready to be used as extra fog whenever he wanted.
Darkstar placed his front paw down, than pushed himself up on his hind legs. He knew there was someone nearby. The strange smell had gotten stronger. His cold gaze flicked between the lush grass blades and trees, seeking the stranger. As the sun kept on rising, the leader inhaled deeply and tried to focus. It doesn't smell like fresh snow, so it's not Icy Clan. It doesn't smell like burnt fur, so its not Flame Clan, Darkstar thought, running all the scents he knew of through his head swiftly and compering them with the one he smelled. And it surely doesn't smell like fish, so it's not Otter Clan either. This means it's an outsider.
Darkstar's back fur rose up as he fell back on his paws. The outsiders were interesting. Despite not having neither Star Clan's Elemental blessings nor any community to stand together with, they had found a way to survive and adapt. On a fine day, he could've appreciate an outsider's attempt and struggles on survival. However, this wasn't a fine day for the leader.
Darkstar crouched low into the ground and let the grass blades cover his already dark fur up. He lowered his tail and curled his tail tip down to ensure it wouldn't brush against anything unwanted. After he completed the steps, he began to sneak. The wind barely existed, meaning that there was nothing to cover his own movements nor smell up with. However, this also meant that if he were to aim, there would be zero resistance against his fog. The air hitting at the back of his throat tightened, making him clench his jaws. It wanted to be let out and let out he would. He saw the tufts of two brown shoulders ahead and readied himself. Between the grass blades, he also saw the intruder flinch and whip around to look at his direction. Darkstar sniffed.
Not an Icy cat, not a Flame cat and not an Otter cat. That's a stranger. He reminded himself as he slowly wiggled his behind. If i launch an attack, it would not lead to a domestic dispute.
He darted from the ground and leapt high. The brown Molly jumped with surprise but before she could move, Darkstar breathed out most of the fog that collected inside himself. It surrounded her inside a thick cloud that that spread larger and larger by the second. He landed and dashed inside the fog cloud swiftly. His amber eyes picked up on her shape quite quickly. She was standing on her spot unmovingly, fur puffed up and back arched. Darkstar launched himself and pinned her down with his front paws.
That must've helped her get out of her daze, as she began to whip her tail and tried to kick her hind legs up with a hiss. Darkstar, as a counterattack, tried to pin them down with his while pushing her into the ground. Her one hind leg snaked past his and slammed against his underbelly. The strength of it made him cry out in pain and hop backwards, allowing the Molly to roll away from him.
Darkstar gulped when he realized that this cat was at least 60 Moons older than him. If there were any unique techniques she knew of, he would be unprepared. He spat out the rest of the fog towards her as she tried to get up, making her pause with uncertainty and blindness, than darted sideways in an attempt to ram his shoulder against her torso. The Molly rolled again, moving to the opposite side as him and smacking his right leg as she did. Darkstar fell over and stumbled onto his side, than he planted his paws to the ground and looked at her. Seeing that her back was exposed by the move, he didn't hesitate to shoot a beam of mist. She let out a howl of pain as it hit her spine and knocked her down.
As the off-white substance megan to spread around, Darkstar sprinted again. “Wait, stop!” He heard the Molly yell. “Please hear me out!”
Darkstar squinted. He did not want to kill a cat, he just wanted to protect his Clan. If she was to leave, than he wouldn't mind listening her. He darted around the older cat in a semicircle and stood in front of her. Her wide, hazel eyes focused on his dark fur as she flinched, but Darkstar didn't move. “Go ahead and spew your excuse,” he said with a flick of his right ear. “I'd love to hear why you were trespassing into the Fog Clan territory.”
She blinked up at him with a squeak. “The whe- where?”
“The Fog Clan territory.” Darkstar echoed. He swished his tail from side to side and the fog disappeared. He raised his chin up and strode over the row of trees behind her, than spun around to face her. “Are you aware of these trees?” he said as he turned his left ear backwards, pointing at the said trees.
“I am.” She said shakily, than got up to her paws. “Are they where your ter-territory st-starts?”
He flicked the same ear. “That is correct.”
The brown Molly lowered her head and took a deep breath. “Than i apologize for coming. I didn't even know a Clan existed here. I was just wa-wandering around.”
“That is fine,” Darkstar reassured as he strode back to her side. “All the Clans are recently formed and we've just decided on our border lines.”
The Molly looked around with a twitching tail. “Which makes this land yours.”
Darkstar nodded. “That’s correct. While i don't seek out any fighting, I have my duties to perform for as the leader of my Clan. One such thing is making sure nobody's intruding into our land.”
A thoughtful mist covered over her eyes as she nodded slowly. “I understand, I'll leave.”
“That would be appreciated.” He said with a tiny smile. “Just be careful next time. Not every cat is as understanding as I am, both in Fog Clan and the other Clans. Personally, I wouldn't want you to get hurt simply for misunderstanding the replacement of a piece of land.”
The Molly's head snapped up at that. “All the Clans.” She echoed.
Darkstar nodded. “Correct. There are three other Clans around here. It might be hard to learn every one of their places for an outsider, but such is life.”
She took a deep breath and rolled her shoulders back. “It is fine; I'll learn and a-adapt.”
“So will the rest of us, fret not.” He said with a flick of his tail.
“Well, alright than.” She said, ducking her head down as she began to walk. She passed by him and kept on going, before suddenly stopping to took at him. “So long, ummm, Fog Leader.” She meowed slowly.
Ha! While he wouldn't admit it out loud, that was hilarious to hear. Darkstar flicked his ear as he licked his muzzle. “So long, outsider.”
As the sun kept on rising and the two cats went on their separate ways, Darkstar couldn't help but feel a dash of pride over how he handled his first border fight and dispute. Hopefully, he can maintain this and handle the future problems inside and outside the Clan just as smoothly.
Darkstar was seen arguing, and fighting, with a Loner. The Clan has encountered Glory.
Glory - A brown Molly with hazel eyes. 78 Moons. Loner. Nervous, skilled mediator and great teacher.
Goldenstar stalked along the EarthClan border, mouth open to scent the air as she searched for the next border mark. Pantherhaze and Russetfrond padded behind her, discussing twoleg traps.
“What do you think they’re trying to catch?” Pantherhaze asked, “Prey? Us?”
“Maybe,” Russetfrond hummed thoughtfully. “Maybe they want our territory.”
“They wouldn’t have to trap us like that to take the territory,” Goldenstar huffed, lifting her head to look back at them. “They’d only need to set their monsters on us and we’d have to run.”
Russetfrond huffed right back, frowning. “You’d just let them?” One ear twitched, annoyed, and Goldenstar raised one brow at his tone.
“What would we do to stop them?” she shot back, “rub up against their legs like kittypets and beg them to leave?” Russetfrond’s hackles rolled irritably and Pantherhaze glanced back and forth between them with a sudden nervous energy.
“It’s not worth fighting, guys,” he tried but Russetfrond continued.
“We could get all the Clans together,” he said, “drive them back by the will of StarClan.”
Goldenstar let out a short, harsh laugh. Yeah, like StarClan’s will alone could stop them. Scorch came to her mind, and she had to focus on the conversation at hand to avoid drifting away into thoughts of the things Smokyrose had told her on the rogue’s behalf.
“Don’t be stupid,” she said, picking up their pace again. “You’ve seen what a monster can do to a cat without even thinking, we wouldn’t stand a chance if they were hunting us.” That seemed to be enough to shut Russetfrond’s mouth. Good, thought Goldenstar, I’d hate to have to pull rank or something. They continued on for a little while, winding along the border and remarking it when needed.
Her mind began to wander back to Scorch. The concerns she had voiced had troubled Goldenstar, to tell the truth. The worst part was that they all made sense. Now that she had been made aware of them, she wasn’t sure if she could continue living her life as she did. Sometimes, she had found, knowledge was more burden than blessing.
“Heads up,” Pantherhaze suddenly hissed and Goldenstar’s ears flicked forward, her gaze snapping back from the fog they had fallen into. Coming over the crest of the next hill, on the EarthClan side of the border was a small patrol. Goldenstar smiled as she recognized Orangestar’s bright pelt weaving through the grass beside her new apprentice, Toadpaw. Goldenstar raised her tail to greet them and Orangestar did the same. The patrols met halfway and Goldenstar smiled at her friend.
“Oragnestar,” she purred, “good to see you! Prey running well?”
The ginger she-cat purred in reply, feathery tail swishing back and forth. “Yes, what about you?” Beside her, Toadpaw stepped anxiously from foot to foot, a grimace on his face. Goldenstar hoped she wasn’t the source of his nerves.
“Likewise,” she nodded. “Although I could do with a bit more rain, if I’m being honest.”
The last member of the EarthClan patrol, a fluffy white queen named Bogmist, spoke up, posture calm. “Stormwhisper says we shouldn’t have to wait long. Next moon should bring plenty of rain.”
“Good to know!” Pantherhaze grinned. Russetfrond flicked his tail, less enthused.
A thought struck Goldenstar. “Uh, Orangestar!” she said without thinking, causing Toadpaw to flinch and Orangestar to blink and then chuckle.
“Goldenstar!” she joked in kind.
Goldenstar blushed and licked her whiskers. “Sorry,” she laughed, “but um, would you mind talking with me for a moment? I have some thoughts I’d love to get your opinion on.”
“Really?” asked Orangestar, blinking in surprise again. As the youngest and least experienced leader, she must not have considered that someone almost two years older than her would want her advice. “Um, sure! O-of course!” She turned to Bogmist and added, “Do you think you and Toadpaw could finish the patrol without me?”
“Sure,” Bogmist smiled and bumped her head against Orangestar’s shoulder. “Come on, Toadpaw.” The apprentice stayed rooted to the spot for a moment, seemingly loathe to leave his mentor behind, but eventually ducked his head and slunk after the warrior. Goldenstar caught a nervous glance back at her and the other RisingClanners.
“I’ll catch up with you guys at camp,” she said to her warriors. Pantherhaze nodded dutifully and Russetfrond puffed a bit at the chance to take charge of the patrol.
He flicked his tail across the small black cat’s side and headed off. “Let’s go, Pantherhaze, we’re already behind as it is.”
Pantherhaze blushed and bounded to catch up with him. “S-sure thing, Russetfrond!” Goldenstar watched them go with a bit of a chuckle, before returning her attention to the expectant smile on Orangestar’s face.
“So, what did you want to talk about?” asked the younger cat, brimming with curiosity.
“It’s a bit of a long story,” Goldenstar admitted bashfully. “See, we took in a rogue last moon-”
“A rogue?” Orangestar cut in, shocked, “Really?”
“Yeah,” said Goldenstar, sitting down. “Her name is Scorch and she’s been considering sticking around.” That wasn’t exactly true. More like Goldenstar had been trying to convince her to stay. Orangestar settled down on her side of the border, mouth agape. “But she’s got some… concerns with the way we do things. Smokyrose has helped her bring them to my attention and now I’m… not sure what to do.”
“What kind of concerns?” asked Orangestar.
Goldenstar chuckled. “She says we’re a cult.”
“A cult?! That’s ridiculous!” Orangestar curled her tail firmly over her paws and shook her head.
“Maybe,” Goldenstar said, less sure. “She says we remind her of other groups that were… designed to keep the cats inside them from leaving. I figured I ought to hear her out.”
“I suppose…” said Orangestar, ears flattening like an apprentice being scolded for a foolhardy battle tactic.
“Like, she says the way we talk about StarClan - like they’re the be-all, end-all - rubs her wrong. She thinks Sagetooth and I just claim to talk to them in order to gain power.”
“Okay, but that is ridiculous,” Orangestar said. “We both know exactly how real they are.”
“True,” Goldenstar ran a paw over her forehead, remembering the burning sensation she had felt when Sunstar’s nose had touched it and her ninth life had flooded through her blood like fire.
That life had been for curiosity. Never stop asking questions, Sunstar had said. You will never know everything and accepting that is the first step to being a good leader. No one knows everything, not even me. Not even StarClan. The words had gone unsaid, but Goldenstar knew her mentor well enough to see them in her eyes.
“But StarClan are just cats,” she continued. “Just like us. Maybe we do abuse their name sometimes. I mean, how often does invoking StarClan end an argument? Isn’t it concerning that if we wanted to, we could just pretend they agreed with whatever we already wanted to do?”
Orangestar winced. “Yeah… I guess that’s a good point…”
“She says the fact that cats change their names when they join a Clan is manipulative too,” Goldenstar continued, finally letting all of these thoughts spill out of her. “Says that the way we talk about kittypets, that we don’t really talk to anyone outside of our own Clans, it’s all designed to keep us from seeing new ideas or deciding to leave.”
Orangestar’s ears were back against her head again. “What else are we supposed to do?” She asked, anxious frustration pulling at her voice. “Go be kittypets?”
“No, I don’t think so but… I think maybe we shouldn’t run them off on sight. Maybe she’s got a point, maybe we should… listen to them, see what they can teach us.”
Orangestar shook her head. “I don’t know… Our laws keep us strong. Without them, the Clans would fall, wouldn’t they?”
“We don’t know that,” said Goldenstar, “We don’t know anything except what we’ve already tried.”
“It sounds to me like you’ve already made a decision,” frowned Orangestar and Goldenstar’s stomach sank when she realized her friend was right.
“I guess so…” she sighed. “Thanks for letting me ramble anyways. I hope you’ll think about what I said though.”
Orangestar stood, paws shuffling awkwardly. “Yeah… I’ll bring it up with Stormwhisper at least.”
“Thanks,” said Goldenstar, rising to her feet as well. “I’ll see you around.”
“Sure thing,” Orangestar nodded, seeming distant, and turned to head after her patrol. Goldenstar sighed. That could have gone better. Perhaps she was talking to the wrong person. Heading home, she resolved to ask Sagetooth about a trip to the River of Stars.
“Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a Clan Meeting!”
The shout startled Scorch from where she was grooming her pelt in the entrance to the healer’s den, causing her thick ginger tail to puff up to twice its size. In all her time at the RisingClan camp, things had been fairly quiet and cozy, if bustling now and then. Pastoral, one might call it. The sudden change was a shock to say the least.
She looked over to where Goldenstar stood on the rock above her den, tail raised high, almost glowing in the light of the sunset. The white cat called Songdust sat below her perch, patiently watching as the rest of the Clan cats emerged from their dens and started to congregate in the middle of the camp. They all seemed expectant and Scorch wondered if she ought to join them or if that would be an insult to their ritual. Sagetooth limped out of the den and stopped beside her. She huffed a bit and settled down.
“What’s going on?” Scorch asked, knowing she could rely on the cranky healer to give her a straight (although possibly sarcastic) answer.
“A ceremony,” Sagetooth said and stretched her sprained paw with a wince. “The leader holds them to announce things like rank or name changes or other important news.”
“Rank changes?” hummed Scorch, returning her gaze to Songdust.
Goldenstar spoke again once the small colony had mostly assembled. “Today, we gather to honor the service of one of our most dutiful warriors. Songdust has served the clan for nearly ten long cycles and after some discussion, we have agreed that it is time for her to retire.”
“Retire?” Scorch asked softly, glancing at Sagetooth, brow furrowed with confusion.
“What, never heard of a cat retiring before?” the healer raised her brow in return.
“Not really, no,” said Scorch.
Goldenstar was still speaking. “Songdust, is it your wish to leave behind the duties of a warrior and join the elders?”
“It is,” replied Songdust.
Sagetooth whispered, “Well, here, when a cat decides they’re ready, they become a Clan elder and spend the rest of their days however they choose.”
“But she’s not even that old,” Scorch protested. “She can still hunt and fight.”
“Your Clan honors you, Songdust,” Goldenstar said, “and all of the service you have given us. May StarClan bring you many moons of rest.”
And with that, the rest of the cats began to cheer Songdust’s name. Scorch frowned, watching the strange display.
“But she doesn’t have to,” Sagetooth said, a smile curling her lips. “The Clan will look after her.”
Scorch felt her gut twisting strangely. It didn’t feel like the nausea her head wound induced from time to time, it was different - a strange, churning, sickly sweet feeling that she could taste in the back of her mouth. Songdust purred as her Clanmates spoke congratulations and Russetfrond butted his head roughly against her shoulder. Scorch didn’t understand why grief was building in her shoulders and behind her eyes and she didn’t like it. Her eyes settled on Goldenstar, who had leapt down to join the others in discussion, and a question she didn’t dare give voice implanted itself in her mind.
If Goldenstar had really meant it when she said that Scorch could stay… could this be hers someday?

Icy Clan. Neutral and gracious, this Clan's cats live near a cold stream and can breathe and control ice and snow.
Flame Clan. Neutral and wary, this Clan's cats live in a redwood forest and can breathe and confrol fire.
Otter Clan. Neutral and cunning, this Clan's cats live near a huge river and can breathe and control water, rain and waves. Split from Icy Clan a Moon ago.
Graypounce stalked closer to a mouse nibbling a seed, than shook her rump and leapt. It thought sitting under a branch would be enough to keep it hidden and protected. When she was mid - jump, her vision suddenly went white. An ice - cold feeling spread all over like flea as she lost all of her senses.
''A storm is coming,'' A cat breathed down her neck. ''Its up to you to weither store the rain water or avoid the thunder.'' And just like that, it all ended.
It took barely few minutes to finish. It went and came swiftly, and when she got her senses back, she hit her head right on the bark of the tree, having jumped way too far. Graypounce fell down with a pained grunt, which scared her prey. She threw her claws forward as she tried to scramble on her paws. Unfortunately, she missed and the mouse ran off into the woods.
"Mouse - dunk!" The deputy hissed in pain as she slowly got up and rubbed her head, the prey's footsteps fading away. She knew that her failure to catch it also scared off any other prey nearby. Only if she had spread a little bit fog around to blind the mouse. Maybe that could've prevented it from running away.
She sighed out loud, than turned around and began to walk back to the camp, her tail dragging behind her. If nobody caught any prey, than how would this Clan survive the next Moon? All she could hope was that Daycatcher and Yellownose would be luckier than her.
Graypounce stalked her way back to camp, feeling the Greenleaf's sun shine down her pelt as she walked. The grass went smaller as she padded down her territory. She could hear birds chirping somewhere nearby, but she didn't want to deal with them. She had a vision to tell. When she walked closer to the entrance of a grotto, her ears perked up curiously at the what she saw inside: Three cats were standing by the medicine cat den.
She brushed her tail by a blade of weed as she walked, catching one of their attention. The Fog apprentice, being the first one to turn around, quickly get up and nodded at her. ''Greetings, Graypounce!''
''Hi.'' Graypounce nodded back at him as she entered inside, feeling relieved that she finally had the shadowed shelter of her camp above her. The other two cats turned around to greet her.
''Greetings, Graypounce.'' Roachtimber smiled.
''Hi. How did the hunting went?'' Darkstar asked.
'Good and bad,'' Graypounce replied as she sat down in front of them. ''Well, i missed the mouse i was stalking, but Fogstar spoke to me. She gave me a prophecy.''
Six ears perked up as her Clan mates stared at her with interest. "She did?" Lightpaw meowed with widening eyes. "What did she said?"
An icy feeling gripped at her pelt as Graypounce recalled the former leader's words. "`A storm is coming. Its up to you to weither store the rain water or avoid the thunder.` That's all," She paused for a second, than shook her pelt as if to get rid of the phantom cold. "Fogstar gave the prophecy right when i was jumping for the mouse. When it was over, I hit my head on the tree trunk and missed the catch."
"Oh no! Are you doing okay, Graypounce?" The medicine cat asked worriedly as she moved closer. Roachtimber's meow covered up for Lightpaw's amused snort. "Are you feeling any pain or ache?"
"I am alright. Don't worry, Roachtimber," She said as she pushed the other cat away with her paw. "I'm just unsure of what to do with this prophecy."
"We will be more aware from now on, that's for sure," Darkstar nodded with a determined light in his eyes. "And I'm pretty sure Roachtimber will be very happy to help you with it."
Roachtimber's nose twitched. "Right, of course."
Graypounce smiled at her. "Thank you, Roachtimber. I appreciate it."
"Dont mention it. That's my job." The medicine cat replied.
Graypounce nodded and turned her head towards the entrance. "I'm wondering if I should go out to try my luck again."
She saw Darkstar shake his head with the corner of her eye. "No, Graypounce. You should rest instead."
"I mean, I can't help but feel guilty over not bringing anything." She meowed as she tapped a paw to the ground.
"You did your best today. You deserve it, Graypounce." The leader insisted.
"I thought Daycatcher and Yellownose also went to hunt prey? Maybe they'll be luckier than you." Lightpaw said.
"Maybe," Graypounce sighed and shook her head. "Well, until they return, I should fix the el-"
Two cats suddenly walked in, startling everyone but surprising no one. "It's okay, it's alright," One of the cats meowed. "Just lean on me, Phloxstem."
Phloxstem groaned loudly as she did so, her chest heaving. "Thank you, Ploverlight."
Roachtimber's nose twitched as Lightpaw took few steps closer to the returning cats. "You don't look good, Phloxstem. Did something went wrong during the patrol?" He asked with a twitch of his ears.
Phloxstem shook her head. "Oh dear, no! Everything was fine!" She replied, groaning softly as she arched her back. Her breathing started to even out.
"There was a huge dog by the border and we had to led it away from here," Ploverlight explained. "Phloxstem had some bodily issues while we were returning, though." Graypounce made an odd face at how terrible he worded it, though it flew under everyone's noses.
Phloxstem, at the other paw, snickered at Ploverlight's words and shook her head. "Dont make it sound like a took two steps and fall over, darling! If anything, i did most of the running, which tired me out! That's all!" She meowed with a strong voice.
"Regardless, you should rest now." Roachtimber said with a wave of her right paw.
"I agree with Roachtimber," Their leader meowed softly. "You've worked hard today and you deserve to rest as hard. So please, go ahead and take your place in your den."
Than their leader paused and turned his head around to look at first Ploverlight, than Graypounce. "This includes both of you, too."
"Neat! I wouldn't mind having a huuuuge nap right now!" Ploverlight bounced up with a snicker.
"Do you mean a regular sleep? Nap means a short sleep, you know." Graypounce blinked.
"Nap or sleep, resting should never be over - looked," Roachtimber said softly as she waved her right front paw again. "Sleep tight, you two."
"Thank you, Roachtimber." Phloxstem meowed sweetly before leaning on Ploverlight's speckled body again. Than they walked towards the pile of rocks the warriors claimed as their resting place. While other cats may not enjoy the idea of laying over stones for sleep, these were smooth, large and covered with moss. Despite how soft soft the surface of rocks were, Phloxstem still winced as she laid over them, before slowly curling up. Right by her, Ploverlight had already fallen asleep fast.
Graypounce flexed her paws, trying to control the urge to just dart outside and do something. But if she got another vision out of nowhere, this time she might be dragged right into a dangerous situation. Maybe staying inside would be a better choice.
Lightpaw's head suddenly turned towards the entrance as his ears twitched. "We have more guests."
Darkstar smiled as he got up. "Nice catch, Lightpaw. Who do you think they are?"
The old apprentice opened his maw to smell, but before he could even say anything, two tomcats barged in, a light wave of fog spreading from Yellownose's body as his tail twitched. Graypounce realised that they were holding 3 mice by their tails with their teeth, Daycatcher having only 1.
She got up to greet the warriors. "Hi, you two. How did the hunting patrol went?"
"Greetings, Graypounce. It was not so good." Yellownose said with a grunt.
Roachtimber tried to shoot a comforting smile to them. "It's okay. Every cat fails their hunt sometimes. Graypounce also missed hers too."
Graypounce lowered her head to lick her own chest. "Yeah. My head decided to introduce itself to a branch." She meowed with a shy smile.
Daycatcher lowered his head and shifted from foot to foot. "That's terrible, Graypounce. I'm sorry to hear that."
Yellownose glared at him. "Yeah, you should be sorry!" He than turned around to look at Graypounce in the eyes. "We managed to hunt 4 mice, but Daycatcher ate one of his!"
Graypounce's gaze turned towards the shrinking cat as she frowned. "Daycatcher, is this true?"
"I was hungry, i could not help it." The warrior meowed pathetically between his teeth.
At those words, the deputy raised her head up as she walked towards Daycatcher. She moved her paw under his chin as she ordered: "Give it to me." Daycatcher opened his mouth, letting the mouse fall. Graypounce caught it and pulled it towards her chest.
"Well, Daycatcher. Since you can't seem to keep your stomach in check, i punish you with den building and moss collecting duties for a moon until you learn to do so," She said confidently. "Now, return to warriors den. I'll make sure the cats who actually deserve to eat will taste this prey."
Daycatcher could only nod as his ears folded down. "I understand, Graypounce." With that, the warrior basically himself towards the warriors den, his tail and paws dragging low. After putting his own catches down, Yellownose also moved to warriors den.
Turning her head around, she put the prey in front of Darkstar and Roachtimber. "Well, i hope you two would enjoy this mouse," After seeing the questioning looks in their eyes, the deputy added. "I won't eat. I'm tired and I really want to sleep now."
Lightpaw's eyes focused on her face. "Well, you've had quite an event - full day, Graypounce. You definitely need rest after everything."
She smiled at her. "Thanks, Lightpaw." She than walked to the opposite side of the entrance and climbed over the leader's den. İt didn't take long for her to fall asleep, as soon as she settled down over a mossy rock and closed her eyes, the ever - reliable dreams claimed her.
