more general & copiously-extensive achilles headcanons (as a follow-up to this post because my last one was very canon-informed) (as if this one isn't somewhat canon informed too. but i'm trying to have fun with it.) (plus some peter🙂)
＞ he's not a guy who cares much about seasons, but he generally dislikes winter (and summer, to a lesser extent) & likes spring
＾stems from his rotterdam days, when harsh winters and summers meant a lot more to him. also extreme weather is just generally unpleasant. spring is the time of year when fruit vendors start selling again, and if he spared some change from the arcade then he could have an orange or a banana or some grapes
＞ on that note: his favourite fruits are grapes (thinking abt that one line in ES), but strawberries would be his second choice (i think he'd enjoy their tart sweetness)
＞ light sleeper. if he hears a noise in his immediate proximity he will Awaken (à la street kid survival instincts)
＞ liked making little messy doodles on the back of his assignments in the catholic boys school. it was mostly just stuff like the basic scenery around him whenever he finished his work early: a window here, a tree there. he wasn't much of an artist and he never drew as much as he did then after he was brought up to BS, though he did sketch out his barebones room a couple of times during the slow, idle moments of his indian compound stint. he keeps those papers in a locked drawer at his desk, underneath various other documents & yet another spare gun (just in case!)
＞ actually, he's just really unconcerned with the nicer things in life (guy who is used to only putting up with the bare minimum to survive) (i can cite quotes for this shit). peter has brought him to an art museum before for #enrichment purposes and he stood in front of the interesting paintings & sculptures for as long as peter did like "hmmm☺️ i enjoy these lots" but actually he was very very bored. he notices the smaller details and is capable of appreciating their intricacies, but ultimately it doesn't do anything for him. they got lunch together after they left and peter was like "so what did you think of it:)" and achilles was like "it was very interesting:)" (lie) so then peter was like "that's nice, maybe we should go there again:)". which made achilles groan in his head
＞ more of a STEM guy than an arts or humanities guy tbh. which makes sense because he's evil and sick. if he was in college or university he'd be either a business major (very persuasive!! and also business people are inherently evil trust me) or polisci major (#DelusionsOfGrandeur. plus peter's probably in that one too). his minor is whichever of the two he doesn't choose as his major
＞ good at standard video games, but not so much w small puzzle-ish games. he'd suck at block blast. he doesn't get the candy crush craze. it takes him 5/6 tries to solve the daily wordle. it usually takes peter only 3 tries — he likes to brag about it in the office and it makes achilles seethe inwardly
＞ peter has a netflix account which mostly goes unused except for when he's really bored & wants to doomstream so he gives achilles the password as an experiment. achilles says "thanks☺️" and makes an entirely new profile for himself. a few weeks later peter opens achilles' profile on his tv (yes he has a TV in his room. what a loser) to see what he's been watching & everything in his recommendations are love island and keeping up with the kardashians ripoffs. which is a lot of words to say that whenever achilles is bored and has nothing to do, he hate-watches reality television. he thinks it's trashy and TBH he doesn't even like it at all but it's like a car crash he can't look away from. watching a bunch of rich people crying and causing drama over trivial problems is entertaining if not endlessly irritating to him. plus, it reminds him of his primary mission statement (eating the rich, i suppose...)
＞ he's not a soda fan, but he has only one exception and that's pepsi
＞ this isn't a headcanon i just think we should feed him vietnamese food because it would be beautiful. or food from every culture really. let's get the french dutch belgian to experience Things... even if he doesn't deserve them.
