So, a little preface info...

Recently-ish, I've been curious about updates to the fandom, because of Dragon Ball Super, and due to my students reading/watching, and me remembering how much I liked it back in the day, I just.. let the algorithm decide lol. So, after way too much DBZA, way too many manga chapters and spinoffs, and some sort of adult eyes, well. So I'm back into the fandom and discovering what the English speaking world has had to offer since 2004 lol. Things -have changed-, to say the least.

I've been a longtime Dragon Ball fan, ever since the mid 90s or so (Latin Americans and French speakers got widespread access to it far earlier than Anglosaxons), and like any girl into anime, I've been extremely original: Future Trunks has always been my fave.

Ronin Trunks "The warrior from the future fighting to save the remnants of a ravaged world"

As I am writing this, Samurai Jack just flashed in my mind mostly because he was stuck in the future fighting robots and our boy Trunks was fighting to save his timeline from the androids. (Not the same I know)

I wanted to try something a bit more painterly from the usual style i post. Kept his original sword instead of using the samurai sword from the ref.

On March 14th 2026, I went to a cosplay event in Kiyosu, at Kiyosu Castle specifically.

Kiyosu was Toriyama's hometown and the event was all to honor him!

I was about a head taller than everyone BUT everyone was happy to see a random foreigner there lol so I clicked with everyone 😭😭😭🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️
