i took a break from tumblr earlier in the season because it was the first formula one season i would be actually following and i wanted to be able to form my own opinion on the drivers... i started off as a ferrari fan after watching DTS and because it was the only team i knew, and became even more of a fan thanks to seb and charles who are still my favourite drivers on the grid...
i logged onto my account here today to see how people were reacting to charles catching *the virus* and....well now i kind of really think i should stay away from tumblr.
it’s fair to say he should have been more cautious instead of going on holiday (though he was there for the armani thing??? isn’t that work) but to say that he deserved it or that it was ‘karma’?? are you for real? no one deserves to catch it, doesn’t matter what they do, we’re talking about something that could KILL you! we don’t even know how he got it, the incubation period for the virus is 10-14 days..... he gets tested regularly but false negatives are still a thing! even if he was isolating and being cautious it takes as much as someone breathing on someone in his bubble for him to be exposed, no need to party with strangers at all (which he wasn’t doing btw???)
many of you are just using covid as an excuse to hate on charles and it’s disgusting.... why didn’t you say the same about lewis who went to party in dubai before bahrain??? only lando and charles are bad for catching it even though they did it in the off season?? and what about checo? lance? nothing about them because you like them, but you like to attack charles and lando for anything they do and because “their fans are annoying” yet you don’t realise how toxic you are???
sorry if it seems like i’m ranting and i’m sure no one will care but i’m so disgusted with some of the stuff i’ve read here...
