Hello friends!!

This is your annual hello and welcome to the thunder dome!! Just a few things of note:

I support the stars mainly and try to live blog the games when I can. I enjoy other teams, but stars are my yeehaw cowboys.

I don’t tag except for #stars lb. if that bothers you, if that doesn’t work for you, if that squicks you for any reason, no hate - just unfollow/block as needed and I’ll see you when I see you.

Speaking of hate, I don’t have time for it - I’m a wife, teacher, friend, fan, reader, and, as of this summer, dog mom. I try to stay as positive as possible and do not tolerate hate. Love your neighbor, your enemy, the stranger on the internet, and the men under the helmet.

That being said, I will attempt to bad mouth your team. Sports are sports and if the stars are losing and the refs miss a penalty, I’m gonna yell about it. Also, the stars are the best team in the league and you can’t convince me otherwise. 😉

Finally, I’m juman. I make mistakes. If I say or do something to offend, please reach out to me and let me know - I am more than happy to correct mistakes as quickly as possible.

I was more or less absent last year due to some mental health issues, but I’m better and ready to rejoin this community. See y’all at puck drop!

so the thing is . the thing just is. it’s the stars. they’ve never been at the forefront of any national conversation. their names are never pronounced right. nobody cares about their star players. even when they’re second in the league they’re talked about like some underdogs who barely squeaked into a wildcard spot. and like. it’s always been like this. as long as i can remember. but that hasn’t stopped them from playing their hearts out and loving each other and their city so much and proving everyone fucking wrong. that’s all they ever do. prove everyone wrong. and nobody believes in them right now but nobody ever believes in them so they need to just. keep proving people wrong. a lot of you need to be a lot more chill about cishet passing people and couples still being part of the queer community

its happened to a friend recently and ive seen plenty of people including streamers/youtubers etc have the same thing happen over and over again, where they put the LGBT label on their streams or a pride flag in their bio and then they get people demanding to know every detail of their identity.

if you see a guy online with his girlfriend and he has a pride flag in his bio and your first reaction is to question whether hes even allowed to put that there, log off. the guy could be bi, could be trans, could be nb, could be literally any queer identity at all and it doesnt matter. its none of your fucking business. he could also just be an ally showing support, its none. of your. business.

you are not the queer police and it is not your job to make sure everyone in the queer community has the properly documented justification for being part of it. touch grass. you need to be normal about not knowing everyones labels and identities and about people keeping those private.

cishet passing people have always existed and will always exist within the queer community, they are our family and belong with us.
