Cameron carrying the tradition banner when he seeks to uphold tradition and the status quo throughout the movie and it becomes his downfall as he sells out the poets, know carrying the discipline banner despite the fact he struggles to control his impulses around chris, neil carrying the excellence banner as he's pressured more than anyone to achieve excellence from his father but goes about achieving it in acting instead
and hopkins carrying the honour banner, learning to care about and have respect for something… keating, which is clear when he stands on his desk at the end, last, but better late than never. he’s the only one carrying a banner that doesn’t fall with it. he’s also a background character so not as important, but i find him really interesting, probably in the way that everyone finds stick interesting
