"Ah, well then, would you like to do anything, Asahina-chan?" Kirigiri smiled. She enjoyed Asahinaâs company as well, and itâs nice to spend some time with friends sometimes.
âSure, if you want to, I'd love that!â Aoi seemed to be overjoyed at the suggestion.
âWhat would you like to do...?â
The girl with him seemed to bounce with each word, her energy overflowing. ButâŠ
"âŠDonuts? I have.. never sampled that mortal food.." he said. What is a donutâŠ?
Once, twice, three times she blinked before voicing a flat, âWhat.âÂ
âHave you seriously never tried them...? That's another reason we should hurry to the shop! You're missing out on so much-- donuts are glorious!â
"Do you know what gets blood off upholstery?" Tanaka asked. He held the phone to his ear, tossing glances at his ruined couch, waiting for a response.
âI donât know, I heard that you canâ Wait, what happened?!â

"I was just wandering around and trying to clear my mind." Kirigiri pushed her hair behind her ear.
"I can leave you be if you wish, if youâre tired you should rest."Â
âOh... I see.â The girl's gaze travelled upwards, to the ceiling, as she thought of what to say next.Â
âNo, that's not necessary! I like your company, Kirigiri-chan~. Besides, I'm not really that tired!â

"Hi. Are you here for the cat obsession support group, too?"
"Oh my gosh! Are you pregnant?"
"Don't go in there. I just farted."
"Be ready. At 1 o'clock you-know-who's doing you-know-what at you-know-where."
"OH MY GOD! HEY! IT'S BEEN FOREVER! *hugs* Wait... Oh. Sorry, you weren't who I thought you were..."
"Do you know when the Supreme Leader is supposed to get here?"
"Have you prepared yourself for the zombie apocalypse?"
"Do you know what gets blood off upholstery?"
"CONGRATULATIONS! You're the 53rd person to avoid making eye contact with me today! That means you get a free invasion-of-personal-space hug!"
"Um... You've got some toilet paper on the bottom of your shoe. I just thought you should know."
"Hypothetically... How would you want your stalker to introduce themselves to you?"
"I think that hot dog isn't using the right bicycle, if you know what I mean *wink, wink*"

Kirigiri smiled at the excitement shown by the other girl, nobody ever gets that excited to see her. She watched Asahinaâs hands move about cheerily as she talked.
"Iâm fine, thank you."Â
Kirigiri seemed almost lost in thought. Sheâs such a ball of energy, I donât understand. Well, at least sheâs kind and amusing.Â
"You seemed like you were in a rush, where are you off to in such a hurry, if you donât mind my asking?"
âAh, I'm glad to hear that!â She replied, visibly perking up at her response.
Aoi watched as the other's expression turned into that of an individual who was focused of something far, far away, and for a few moments actively debated (mentally, though, of course) of whether she should speak again or not. Her wondering finished upon hearing her classmate's voice again, however, and it took her no more than some short seconds to respond to he question.Â
The brunette released a short laugh before speaking, âAh, well, I just wanted to return to my room...â She voiced, as she scratched the side of her head with her index finger in a somewhat sheepish gesture. âI'm a bit tired, I guess. And you?â
"Hell yeah! We can take my bike."
âAh, really? That sounds great, Oowada!âÂ
âLet's get going, then!â
A quest, hm? âŠI shall accompany you on this dreaded journey, o hungry one!
Heh! Let us set forth⊠and destroy!
Aoi's brows furrowed slightly in mild confusion (why did he even speak like that?) but regardless, she quickly smiled at him.
âThank you, Tanaka! Let's get going, then! Do you like donuts, too?â
âHeeeey, could you come with me to the donut shop? Pretty please?â
âBoringâŠ? I guess.â Thatâs not what she had been implying, but if she thinks about it, then it is boring.
ââŠâ No other words come to her mind, so she looks away from her classmate and back down at her book; the words are blurry, and sheâs been at this for too long. A break would do her good, if only she knew how to carry on a conversation without becoming the ass of an invisible joke.Â
Aoi kept her gaze fixated on the other for a couple more seconds, before looking away as well, deciding to focus on a bookshelf instead. Right; that's what she'd come here for. To find a book to help with the essay she had to write for Physics class.
âWhat are you reading?â The brunette asked after a moment, choosing to look at her once more.Â
â© Alright, so I still owe a reply to Kirigiri, but I'll get to that tomorrow I'm just really really slow I'm sorry ! In any case, though, would anyone want a starter from me? If so, please let me know!! âȘ
Those Who Don't Burn, Drown : Aoi & Celes
â }Â Â Â :Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Gambling had many aspects to it: skill, poise, and the ability to hide. One had to know their deck like every line of their cracking skin, despite it being randomised every reset round. One had to know how to hold themselves, or how exactly they wanted to be perceived: would slouching lower their expectations?; would a devilish twinkle in the eye as a three was dropped in the pile unarm their opponents?; would a demure giggle activate blind lust (and blind eyes to the aces in their sleeves)?
Luck was also a play in the art of gambling, and a large one to boot. No one ever knows for sure what they may receive in their shuffled pile. It is up to whatever balances are in the air to determine if you are offered a flush off of the bat or a set game in ruination.Â
Celesâ luck exceeded adequacy and bordered on miraculousâŠwhen it came to dealing and scavenging. It did not seem to do her well in everyday situations, such as pouring a glass of rum without major spillage or entering the locker room to a changing acquaintance.
No, today was not a good day.Â
âCeles-cha--!â And she was in the middle of greeting the other when the fact that she was still changing hit her like a box full of bricks. Riiiight; greeting someone while you were still half-nude wasn't really a normal thing. This'd been such bad timing; had she entered the room a couple moments earlier or later, this could've been avoided... Then again it was of no use to cry over spilled milk, and all she could do now was to try to fix the situation (and hopefully, succeed).
Following her instinct, she quickly reached for a nearby towel, which she somehow managed to wrap around herself in what could be considered record time.Â
A couple seconds of awkward chuckling could be heard, before she proceeded to apologise. âHaaa, sorry about that...âÂ
âHow are you doing?â Aoi then asked, hoping that would ease the atmosphere a bit. Besides, small talk was always good, right? ...Right?!
"Things are much too quiet in the library."
âI know...â She agreed with a slight nod.Â
âIt gets pretty boring, don't you think so?â

Kirgiri walked silently through the halls after class. She wasnât going anywhere in particular, she just needed to walk.Â
This school is getting ridiculous with all of the work Iâm having to do on top of the cases Iâm working on.Â
She sighed to herself as she listened to the clicking of her heels on the tiled floors. As she turned the corner, she met a familiar face. Asahina is in the same class as Kirigiri, and though she herself didnât talk much, Asahina was a ball of energy and rather fun to be around.Â
"Ah, good evening Asahina-san. How are you?"Â
âKirigiri-chan!â
The brunette seemed to be delighted with having encountered her classmate, feeling which was shown via a slight widening of her smile. âI'm doing great, thank you!â Aoi's voice perfectly conveyed her enthusiasm, as did the random gestures she made with her hands.Â
âHow about yourself?â She asked, in turn, as she carefully observed the other.
â° open â±
Truly, she didn't have to do much.
They were just a couple basic algebraic operations-- So why was it taking her so long? (Maybe because instead of paying attention you were just looking out the window and thinking when would be the next time you'd swim. You know, just maybe, a voice inside her head replied. How annoying.)
She sighed, somewhat impatiently. Well, she just wanted to already head back to her room and call it a day-- maybe eat; that was never a bad idea --but the teacher had given the class clear instructions to not leave until they finished the activity.
Alright, now she only had to finish one. It didn't look half difficult, she decided, as she eyed it. Not caring whether her answer was right or not, she stood up as soon as she finished, quickly handing it to the teacher before scurrying outside the classroom.
Skedaddling down the halls, she noticed she seemingly was alone-- that is, until she saw someone else. Deciding to greet them, she stopped her walking and smiled, before speaking.
âGood evening!â
â© Hmm... Would anyone want a starter from me? If so, just let me know! I want to interact with all of you but I may or may not be a bit intimidated. For now, I'll try to work on my links! âȘ
