I wish I could help you out. If you’re ever sick of being in L.A. though, I wouldn’t mind having you come along with me on the road for a few days. That might be a nice distraction for you.

I am not cocky. A little overconfident at times, but it has gone way down in the last couple of years. It’s only because I don’t know how to just sit back and relax. I have to constantly be doing something or else I’ll be bored out of my mind.
I can agree with you on that. I’ve wanted to punch you less and less over the years so well done on the progress. All I know how to do lately is relax along with occasionally working here and there. Can you even really get bored with a couple of kids and a wife at home?

I would love that. Seriously, it would be great to have someone drag me out of my place and do something fun.

Going out with friends often should help you shake that feeling. My friends have gotten me out of that plenty of times before.
That’s all I keep doing but it still feels a little weird. Maybe I should branch out and do something different.

It’s nice to see that your cockiness hasn’t gone away since the last we spoke. I am, I’ll agree with you on that but you’re on a completely different level.

With the amount of time that you were gone, it’s not surprising that you haven’t gotten back into the groove of things yet. There’s nothing wrong with that, by the way. Maybe going out and trying some new things will make you feel a little bit better.
Yeah, I know there isn’t. I’m just kind of tired of feeling like I’m being alienated by the world or something. It might if I can force myself out to find something really interesting to do.

The L.A. weather is overrated. Sun and beaches is great or whatever but there’s nothing like a good, cold winter. Where’d you end up going?
I went to Big Bear Lake with some friends for a nice getaway. Being in the snow was like heaven.

I’ve been back for two months now and I still feel so out of place. Outside of working, I have no idea what to do with myself or who to go out with. I’m officially at a temporary life standstill.

It’s not that I desire to be cold, either. I just like the change of weather. But I guess the whole winter-look can be sort of a plus sometimes.
I decided to actually go someplace with snow this winter and I have to say, it was pretty nice to get out of the standard Los Angeles weather routine.

I need to take a page from your book and become more like you. It would do me so much good.
