Pixie: How does your muse tend to get into trouble?

The most trouble I’ve ever gotten into was flipping off a teacher behind her back. I forgot she had a TA in the room, sitting behind us all. That was when I was in the 7th grade.

Orcs: Does your muse tend to be protective? 

I’m very protective of the ones I love and the people I consider to be close friends.

Manticorn: What does your muse fear?

I guess the stereotypical thing that everyone fears. The unknown, because nothing is set in stone and nothing is ever as it seems.

While she’s desperately trying to ease her friend’s stress level by giving her a hand and immediately give her a possible solution, Kiara can’t help but gently scoff at her remark. “It feels like this is the only way we meet lately..!” She comments in a light tone, mentioning how busy the two have been even though she’s been unconsciously avoiding the other. “Oh this is just terrible.. If you want I can see if I can re-print this for you? We are two minutes away from my office.” Kiara points in its direction for a moment, searching for a reaction in Selene’s face then. “I’ve been okay, lots of work, you? Oh please, never as good as you.” She offers her a bright smile.

“I know! I think the last time we met you had just spilled coffee all over your shirt because some jerk bumped into you.” She says with a light laugh. That day had been hectic for the both of them because of the fashion show. Luckily Selene was able to piece together something else for Kiara to put on. At her offer the brunette shakes her head. “Oh, I don’t know. It won’t be a bother to you would it? I don’t want to impose on your day.” She says and then smiles again at her comment. “Same. I’m over the new fashion department here and putting together a whole new team is a total nightmare right now. Nonsense. I love that skirt you have on right now.”

Taking the tissues and pressing them against his nose, Rigs let out a slightly sarcastic laugh when he heard her comment. “Of course I am happy. What would I do with all your brilliant advices after all..?”, he countered. Not that he didn’t like her, he did, or else they wouldn’t have spent that much time together. And still it had ended up in some heavy arguments quite a few times when to him it felt like she wanted him to change in a way that he just couldn’t. “What makes you think that I did something..?”, he asked, both of them knowing it had in fact been his own fault though, “Maybe that other dude was being a dick..?!”

“Sure.” She says with a smile and watches as he cleans himself up. “It might help if you lean your head forward a little. People think you should lean it back, but you don’t want to swallow your own blood.” Selene moves to sit beside him, leaning against the brick wall of the bar. She rolls her eyes and laughs a little. “You’re always doing something. Even if the other guy was being a dick, I’m sure you threw the first punch.” Though her tone this time wasn’t at all judgy, more poking fun at him. “What have you been up too lately?”

“ not at all i’m horrible with fighting and if i feel that the vibes in the room are getting to tense and may lead to a physical altercation i leave. ”

Cyclops: Does your muse immerse them self in a single task?

“ yes. i can become very intensely engaged in one thing. especially if i have a deadline. but most of the time i have to stretch my brain to 4 different tasks. ”

Elf: Does your muse value appearance?

“ as a fashion editor, yes. but not in the sense of physical looks, more fashion. that’s literally the first thing i see when i look at a person. just a force of habit, but it doesn’t form my overall opinion on that person though. ”

It was yet another busy Monday that would clearly extend throughout the rest of the night and although Kiara loved her job, there were days she woke up and wished she could stay in bed and ignore the rest of the world instead. Hazel eyes are skimming the e-mail she’s just received as she briskly walked towards her car in the parking lot nearby when she hears a female voice she almost instantly connected with a face before she could turn to follow it with her eyes instead. “Selene?” A frown painted on her face as she tucks some hair behind her right ear. This has happened to her countless times before, setting a wave of anxiety within her chest as she crouching down to help the other collect the soaked reports sheets. “I’m sure if you dry them out as soon as possible you’ll still have minimum decent and readable warped paper – are these yours or meant for someone else?” She asks, not wanting to read them out of common sense and respect.

Selene frantically drags all the papers from the ground, sighing softly as each one was just as wet as the one before. She glances up when her name is called and then back down to the ruined report. “Hey Kiara. Not the best way to be catching up again.” She says retrieving the other half of papers from the other woman when she hands them over. “These were meant for me. Some homework that I needed to go over before tomorrow morning, but I guess it’s going to be another sleepless night.” She says with a soft sigh, but she smiles once they both stand back up. “How have you been? You look as great as ever.”

Paxton was not ashamed to be walking around town in full drag because he had a show tonight that had a shitty changing room. There wasn’t enough space for him, his makeup, and his dress bag, so he had to do a little work at home before he left. It was actually kind of fun considering all the looks he got from people he randomly passed. They were mostly judgmental, but Paxton thrived on that for some reason. Let them hate him, he was perfect. 

He turned the corner just in time to see a girl fumbling with far too many things in her hands and he was about to ask if she needed help with something, but then it was too late. “Oh no,” he mumbled, kneeling down to grab one of the only rogue but safe papers that blew away, “you ok, darling?”

Selene grumbles again as she places all the wet papers back into the manilla folder that she had and then stands back up straight as she grabs the stray away sheet from the person before her. “I’m okay. Just probably going to have to go all the way back to the office and then I’m probably gonna get stuck there again. And I have a lot to do at home.” Selene finally looks up to see who it was that helped her and a small smile graces her face. “I love that shirt. Is that a Vera Wang? If not, you’d look really good in it.”

“Fucking idiots!”, Rigs mumbled, carefully reaching for his nose to see how heavily his nose was bleeding but luckily it wasn’t as bad as he had expected. Still bad enought to leave some dark stains on his shirt though. But then again he had already gotten in more than enough fights already to not really care about ruined shirts anymore. Still swearing, he had only managed to walk a few steps away from the bar he was just thrown out though, when he heard a familiar voice and looked up with a frown. “Seems like you’re back in town”, he only replied, simply ignoring her comment about him getting into trouble. He obviously hadn’t expected to see her over here again, something that was probably visible on his face, but of course it had to be in a situation like this one, with him trying to stop his nose from bleeding. “What are you doing here..?”

“Oh, don’t sound so happy to see me.” Selene says as she watches the blood drip onto his shirt. She reaches into her fanny pack to grab a couple tissues and then holds it out to him. “I took a new job here. Vogue opened a new magazine company and they asked me to oversee the fashion department.” Once Rigs takes the offered tissue Selene folds her arms across her chest. “So, what did you do this time?” The brunette asks. It seemed like whenever they met up he was in some kind of trouble or she needed something fixed with her car.

Noah had seen the whole thing as he stepped out of a coffee shop to head home and he quickly stopped to see if there was anything he could do to help. “Are they ruined, or do you think they could dry?” he asked, not sure what the papers were, but knowing from her reaction that they must be important. He had once spilled coffee on a paper copy of a term paper an hour before it was due, so he understood the stress of that kind of situation. 

“If you have them backed up online somewhere, I’m sure you could print them back out at the library?” he suggested, “It’s really not all that far from here.” he added, not sure if she would be familiar with the area. 

“No, they’re totally ruined.” She said holding up the dripping paper, as the ink starts running together. Selene has no idea why they use this kind of paper in the first place. “I think I have another copy.” The brunette pauses and thinks for a moment. “But I think it’s only on the laptop back at my office.” She straightens up and lets out a long sigh. If she goes back Selene knows she’s going to get stuck in that office for another couple hours. There was always something to do there. “Today has been such a clusterfuck.”

Eric smiled and began to pick up the papers and then stood. “ Atlanta does have the odd shower.” He chuckled and  helped her to her feet. “I think these are  yours.” He said and handed the papers to her before nodding. “Its ok,I’m fine thanks, I am going to be a model for an artist. I’ve never been in a painting before so it should be good.” He said and then looked up the street.” Where are  you heading, I can walk with you if you like, we can share the umbrella.”

“Oh really? That sounds fun.” Whoever the artist was picked a really great muse to pain. She tucked the folder under her arm and then looked down the street, squinting before looking back over at Eric. “I’m just heading home.” Selene nods her head. “Yea, okay. If you’re not busy or anything.”

Eric had been heading home from the museum, instead of cutting through the park he decided to take a walk down  the streets and take in the cool, rainy air and maybe head to Starbucks. He put up his umbrella to keep his Prada suit from getting wet and he  was just  rounding the corner when he saw a note in a puddle, then his ex wife scooping up the remainders of the paperwork, slowly being destroyed by the rain. Ever the gent, Eric lent over her and helped picked the papers up while holding the umbrella over them. “Hey stranger.” He said softly. “Need a hand?”

Selene glances up and then looks back down before raising up and straightening herself out. “Hey.” She says with a soft smile, moving a wet strand of hair behind her ear. “Yea, thanks.” Selene looks at him and she can’t help but appreciate the suit that he has on. Prada had always looked good one him. “I didn’t even know it was going to rain today, anyway how have you been? Sorry I haven’t called in awhile getting settled in has been quite the adventure.”

Selene was walking home from work. She was looking over her reports as she walked. There was so much to do and go over and so little time to get things done. Her team wasn’t fully together yet and some of them weren’t so willing to work with her, their loyalties still with their old boss. Which was even more reason why she was going to have to work harder so she can have some stability within the office.

She was fumbling with her all the papers in her hands when the wind blew in a particular way that sent her papers flying and right into a puddle. “Shit,” Selene muttered stooping down low to pick them up and seeing that they’re absolutely ruined. “No, no, no...for fuck sake.” She says to herself looking at all the soaked reports sheets.

Selene’s mind was a cluster of things. Three different magazine covers she had to choose from, there was some discrepancies with the fabrics they ordered and it’s going to be a week late instead of being in on Monday. Her apartment designer got sick and the assistant she left to fill in her spot was little to no help. The couch order had to be redone at least three times now and the wall that Selene wanted knocked down was still up.

These last three weeks has been really stressful and the brunette decided that maybe going for a run would be great. Selene hadn’t gone too far from her apartment building, maybe three or four blocks and she turned a corner just in time to see someone getting thrown out of a bar. Squinting a bit Selene realizes that it’s someone that she knows and she smirks, pulling one of her air-pods from her ear, placing a hand on her hip.

“Well, well. It seems like you’re still getting into trouble.”
