I found one of my Bladder Snails had fat tentacles that usually pond snails had. I know its a bladder because of its Sinistral shell though.

Which should I use for my bullet journal? Google Summer of Code not made by Google obviously, just distributed by them or World Maps from Cavellini?
I love that my textbook assumes the programmer is a woman! I know this was probably originally written when programming is seen as a secretarial position for women, but out of that context, and in today’s I am happy to see that the writers don’t assume the programmer to be a man
My brother saved this document and everytime he gets angry at our neighbours for being loud he prints it to their wireless printer and you can hear the wife shout “Why the fuck would you print this AGAIN?!” to her son.

Got my Hacktoberfest shirt from Digital Ocean, and these adorable github stickers!
For anyone who’s wondering they were having a thing where they gave out shirts to people who did 3(or was it 4) pull requests on github during October!

Context Switching: it’s like when you start talking about an unrelated topic, and then after a while start talking about the original topic again
You’ve heard of lemon stealing whores, now make way for Page Stealing Daemons
Studying OS, luckily the terminology causes humorous phrases like this to keep me focused. I know the definition of zombie process is incorrect
I can’t wait until I get to daemons (pronounced demons,) and page stealing daemons.
PSA: You can get the PostIt Highlighter flags cheaper by buying generic storebrand Staples flags
http://www.amazon.com/Post-Highlighting-Assorted-Dispenser-4-Dispensers/dp/B003CR6HRS for 140/$5+S&H
http://www.staples.com/Staples-reg-Stickies-trade-1-2-in-Page-Flags-125-Flags-Pack/product_474649?akamai-feo=off 125/$3
I’ve seen staples have those and some in assorted sizes and shapes for cheaper than PostIt have had before they came up with this.
One day we’ll have robots who will have hair and thus will need to wash it. They will of course do it themselves as they are as capable if not more capable than us to perform human activities. These robots are programmed to follow instructions and will read their shampoo bottles on how to use and be stuck in an infinite loop of lathering rinsing and repeating.
AAPA on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon
I’ve noticed a disturbing trend lately on channels targetting “tweens,” mainly Disney Channel and to a lesser extent Nickelodeon: Asians are portrayed as extremely stupid, or extremely smart but socially inept.
Disney Channel is guilty of the first and Nickelodeon of the second if they appear at all. They both seem like exact opposites, but the box achieve the same result. It portrays Asians as lesser than the white main characters.
I understand that Disney Channel is probably trying to diminish the stereotype of the “smart Asian” but why do they need her to be stupid? Why can’t they be average people? Why do they need the extreme opposite? This is just Asian women. London from Suite Life of Zac and Cody was the first, and she broke a stereotype, but when they kept casting more Asian girls as stupid, it seemed more like they were using Asian women to put in place of the “dumb blonde.” stereotype. Of course, aside from London, I don’t believe the other Asian girls who appear in Disney media are unnamed characters who have one or two lines in which they demonstrate that they’re unintelligent. So there is the problem of under representation and negative stereotype that portrays them as under the white protag.
The Asian men, have a different role in these shows; they are often the “weird” character such as: Timmy Toot Toot from Ned’s Declassified (who treat both Asian men and women as weird see Evelyn Kwong), or Yogi in Girl Meets World. For Asian men to be bombarded constantly by images in the media that tell them that they are mere comedic objects is extremely damaging to them, and feeds into the emasculation of Asian men, as well as treating minorities as subhuman or “barbaric.”
The problem is that when impressionable kids who are right before or just hit puberty watches these shows where they’re non existent (how are there no Asians in NY or LA or SF???) and when they are they’re weird or stupid, and basically below the “normal” white protag, these feelings of inadequacy could negatively impact their self image.
So Michelle Phan made a site/social network? to help other creators get out there and do their thing. I decide to check it out and the first thing I see is this.
Do people not test sites before deploying? End users should never see pHp errors, let alone what looks like a memory leak. What this is was lazy on the ends of the devs, and the person overseeing this.
For Michelle Phan who is trying to show that she is competent enough to help other people become like her, this should have been nipped in the bud. The fact that this made it out, and I will give her the benefit of doubt and say this happened sometime after release, something should have been done, and the site taken down with a notice that they needed to fix something.
Michelle Phan is a self proclaimed boss and portrays herself as such, but this shows poor management. Yes this is the person who wrote the code’s mistake, but where was the overseeing to correct this mistake when it was found? I feel someone who believes they can teach others to become successful, should not make the let end users see a bug, rather than having an "we’ll be right back” page while fixing the issue. It just doesn’t look good, even though the purpose of the site wasn’t to advertise programming services, there is a level of unprofessionalism when one does not properly manage their site which is a face of a brand. Why should I use a service where it looked like it wasn’t properly tested? Michelle Phan is a known name, who you would expect some form of quality from, and to not release something that could be faulty.
I also feel that they should be hiring a dev that knows php enough to understand php’s lack of garbage collection, and account for that to prevent memory leaks.
Oh, that’s creepy, I just realized that if someone knows where I live if they did a reverse search of my address and name they can get my cell phone :|
When the robot uprising comes, I’ll be an ez target.
In all seriousness: All a stalker needs to know is where you live and they can start harassing you via phone too.
In all my years of doing weird reverse lookups of people I know including I know, I have found that most of my friends including myself are not safe.
Courses for the Next Semester:
