✨ internship era ✨

I recently got an internship role as a UI/UX intern which has been a dream of mine. It has been fun learning how to use Figma properly this time around. There were a lot of industry standards that I learned that I did not get to at my university!

It shocks me a lot on how I came this far as a computer science student. I recall wanting to quit so many times that I would break down crying in front of my friends and family but, here I am, I only need to do my internship and then my thesis and I am good to go!

✨ lost era? ✨

as much I am thrilled to end my student life, i honestly have no idea where to go now. With my UI/UX internship having little to less coding, often times I wonder if I should still pursue doing frontend or backend coding. With my mentor telling me it is hard to get an entry level UI/UX role, she strongly advised me to continue honing my frontend skills as it is also much needed for the role.

✈️ 🏖️ Boracay and my First Plane Ride 🌴🥥

I AM IN LOVE WITH BORACAY

I thought it was too overrated but regardless of how crowded it was, I loved it! I love the food!!!!!!!! Boracay has these coconut ice creams that I loveeeee (coco mama, mango mama, ube mama (haven't tried the ube yet) ) I also love the island vibes of their mall and the stalls by the beachfront too!

The sand is to die for. White. Fine. Sand.

Overall, it did not sink it immediately that I was in fact in the Boracay postcard ahhhh!! I am going to move in here for sure cuz why not!

I am always the one who loves a good thrill and challenge... I thought I'd be brave enough for my first plane ride. I was, up until I looked out the window and saw the skyscrapers of my city a thousand feet below me. That is when it hit me, I was a thousand feet above!

I was kind of shy admitting it was my first plane ride. However, everyone has their first plane rides at different points in life and sometimes even never. I guess this was my turn to experience such. At the airport, I was even more scared. I did not know when to present my boarding pass and ID lol. I did not want to seem like a threat HAHAHA I had a crippling anxiety that they might not let me board on the plane.

a not so social media detox

It has been weeks since I deleted my main ig account.

I just really wanted a hard reset.

I also want to keep things more intentional. I used to have 800 followers on ig who looks on my stories, and for what? Maybe a part of me wants to genuinely share and connect, but at the same time, I also find myself looking through who have seen my stories =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪‧̣̥̇).

For days, I have been wondering over the fact as to why do I have the urge to share literally everything in social media, from where I am or what I am doing, and I think there is no harm done there but why?

Another reason would also be, I want to cut off the guys I used to talk to or flirt with HAHHAHA (III╥_╥⁠) I had a phase...

It is crazy how I got this job the same day I decided I want to get a job! God works crazy sometimes.

I think it has been more than a year now that I have been working for a passionate coffee entrepreneur. I have attended a number of barista classes yet I still have no clue on how to use the machine and do a pour-over coffee! Coffee is super sensitive, the timing, temperature and all the small details greatly affects how your coffee would taste like. I could go on and on about it but ya'll can just message me to join our barista class :>>

Before working for him (my boss, i call him bro tho) I really wanted to have a business but after working for him for quite a while, I realized living through paycheck doesn't seem too bad (⑅˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈ ) He was also kind enough to let me join his business seminars and I've met a handful of well established entrepreneurs in the local scene. My oh my, their passion and drive is just contagious! With the right mindset, support, and knowledge, I guess my entrepreneur era is not that far of a reach after all. ( • ̀ω•́ )✧

co working again with ya mac ! finally got to visit lost books too, cute place, it is a vibe <3 Also, got 24 chicken for dinner. snow cheese and garlic flavor. We got ambushed by his friends in about 3 am and went to get some Jollibee and hung out for a quick chat went back and got some cute pics in the car while at it.

semester is almost over!

This year has been hard.

We were learning multiple things at once and due to major burnout, I was hardly loving what I was doing. I am thankful for my friends they were such a huge help on my mental health. I am so thankful that I am loved. I will continue to do my best and try my best to be kind to myself too.

Moments Between Moments

We have our coffee breaks daily, nevertheless, it is my favorite part of the day. Away from the four walls of our classroom, here we can be mundane. I could feel exhausted rather than feeling incapable. With it being just outside the university, it feels like being miles away from it.

Lately I have been taking more pictures, feeling nostalgic of the present.

Growth may not be linear but one thing is for sure, with every setback and disappointment, I got to know myself better.

2nd Hackathon!

Theme was supply chain, so we made sure we had a good supply of snacks! 🤣 It was such a challenge and I was happy to see my friends pushing themselves to the limit! I definitely took a lot of pics so this moment can be remembered. Doing hackathons also made me realize my own efforts in my progress as a developer, about two months ago I got so frustrated because I could not understand angular or django at all. However, once I broke that surface tension, the learning progress was seamless. Now here I am, using react for the hackathon when a month ago, learning frameworks made me super anxious. I was barely the one coding tho lol, but I did got my hands on react and I could say it is a lot less complicated than angular. I mostly did the researching and I did the pitch to for the hackathon. I definitely offered some help to my friend, Alliyana, who mostly did the code, but I honestly told her that i would take a lot more time comprehending everything ( I was still new to react ) . Overall, even though my imposter syndrome gets the best of me in this industry, I do enjoy hackathons!

Life update

being a 3rd year computer science student is no joke that i forgot about my tumblr. I have been spending most of my money on co working cafes and a lot of coffffeeee! I need help.

been learning a lot about API lately.

I have been learning django, angular, python, and php this sem

I AM NOT OKAY, i want guilt free sleep LOL
