omg alien stage talk! i will admit, I didn’t think much about ANY of the pairings, not that the dynamics were bad, they just didn’t click for me. However, I was partial to IvanTill ONLY for Till cause he’s my favorite. Ivan just came with the packaging. But Zombie Stage made me go “OOOOGGGHHH” for mizisua. I’ve become a glutton for tragic and/or toxic love 😔 I would say more, but I don’t know if you just started watching it or not. What do you think about it?

i've been following along zombie stage loosely! i think in terms of characters i'm much more interested in sua than mizi tbh but i love tragic doomed yuri so here i am 😔 i like ivan but that's only because i have a very special spot for characters who give off that perfect princely facade who are in actuality horribly messed up and a little twisted. like that's my baby boy. i also love how sua and ivan see each other for who they really are...they are siblings in my heart

I also have opinions about people raving about anything mlm while not giving a fuck about wlw but it's... a delicate subject...

(I actually have so many thoughts about why mlm performs better than wlw and among them there's the "reading mlm feels outside of gender norms" [I don't fully agree with it being an argument in good faith bc male is not a neutral gender either, and if it really was a good argument as to why people read queer ships then they would seek wlw in the same amounts], misogyny [lots of stuff but even just the fact that people would rather have an all male cast than an all women one], lack of women in media conditioning shippers to seek mlm and not really think about wlw [like how we're used to mlm ships because there's 20 guys in a show and one woman], the euphoria of desecrating patriarchy with mlm [like... yes it's a powerful statement in a homophobic patriarchy to make men fuck]... and I think all those things are playing a role in why mlm interests people (fanfic writers/readers really in our case) more than wlw, but I also think it's the same reason we say gay as a gender neutral term to say queer but we can't use lesbian the same way: we live in a society that really really loves men better than women to the point where only then can be the norm, and it's veeeery deeply internalized)

i mean i do have my own thoughts on this but there are probably way better thoughts from ppl who have thought much more about this topic than i have lol
