Lately, I haven’t been feeling any motivation or inspiration for Jongdae & this account. I’m sure it’s been obvious with how absent I’ve been. So, needless to say I am going to be taking a break from the account. I’m not entirely sure for how long or if I’ll even come back honestly. I’m thinking about starting over with another muse on another account, but that isn’t set in stone yet. I’ve been trying really hard to stay on the account, but with the lack of communication it just seems like a chore to keep pushing Jongdae out there. Hope you’ll understand.

we just broke up and you came over to get a box of your stuff from my place but wtf the power went out because of a really bad storm and you shouldn’t be driving in this just … chill for a couple of hours, okay?

we broke up years ago and both moved away, lost touch. now our friends each suggested a blind date and shit, you’re my date apparently. 

we moved into a little apartment together while we were dating and then we broke up but neither of us could really afford to get our own place so now we’re stuck as roommates, watching each other bring home random one night stands or dates.

you were my brother/sister’s best friend and that’s how we met, and started dating. now we broke up and you’re obviously still friends with them, and you spend nights at my place but now it’s just awkward to run into you in the hall way at 1 am right after my shower.

we broke up right before a giant roadtrip our friends planned and we don’t want to bail on everyone and ruin the trip so yay, looks like we get to spend a five hour drive and a weekend in a cottage together.

we were our high school’s golden couple but we went to different colleges and the distance broke us up. fifteen years later, i’m in the middle/just getting over a bad marriage and you’re having your own relationship problems and it’s the high school reunion.

we dated pretty seriously and your parents were also absentee. now we are broken up and it’s like five years later and your absentee father is my new boss.

Great. Just what Jongdae needed. It was three in the morning and here he was. Absolutely stranded on the side of his road with his new car broken down. He’d had the damn thing for about a week. Jongdae was all excited about not having to run after the city bus when it missed his stop and would finally be able to leave on his own schedule. So of course his car would break down at three in the morning on the side of the road after a week of buying it.

Jongdae slams the car door shut as he steps out, groaning loudly. His phone was dead, and the closest gas station wasn’t even that close in walking distance. It was the only thing Jongdae hated about his university. On the way back he had to drive through the most unsettling area of nothing but road and trees before reaching the city he lived in. Sure, it wasn’t too unsettling during the day, but at three in the morning it’s bound to creep you out.

Jongdae stiffens at the sudden question, eyes wide as he’s caught off guard. He licks his lips nervously, fidgeting slightly. He supposes that maybe he shouldn’t have said that last bit, but it was too late now for that.

“Ah, well, I never really had the best home life. You know how that can be.” He says. Sure, it was vague and didn’t really hint at much, but he felt like it was a good enough answer. “Strict parents is all.” Jongdae says in a quieter tone. Strict could be an understatement, but it wasn’t a lie. “But because of that I think it would help. I’m not saying it’ll make the job easy or anything, but I don’t know.” He says with a small smile, shrugging his shoulders before looking over at the other.

“Oh, English? That’s really cool! I was never too good at English, you must be pretty smart. Especially if you already graduated.” Jongdae says with a warm smile. Who had just always naturally assumed that people who had studied English were intelligent people. He always thought that the language was a little difficult to learn. It was something he didn’t have the patience for.

“Next year will be my last. I’m kind of excited, kind of nervous.” He explains as he fidgets slightly. “It can be difficult, but I’ve been in some of the situations that they’ve been in, so I think that gives me some leverage when it comes to teaching and helping them get through things.”
