Okay, a few things.

There's a difference between asking for sequels out of curiosity, compared to repeating asking for sequels because they automatically expect more content (while not engaging in said content, like reblogging and commenting besides only liking, that same content they want more of). Maybe creator would feel differently about that.

Not just you, but people in general.

I see people demanding more art, stories, anything without actually engaging in that content. And then get upset when they decide not to continue with their work for their own personal reasons.

And, sometimes, authors don't always want to continue a story whether because it's already finished enough that don't want to write a sequel. Or maybe they might not have inspiration for that story anymore.

No yeah exactly, There's a huge difference between someone excitedly asking "ooh, any chance of a sequel? 👀" out of genuine curiosity and people who repeatedly demand more content while barely engaging with what's already there.

Sometimes a story just feels complete to me. Other times the spark for that particular universe fades, and forcing it usually leads to worse writing anyway. I’d rather leave something I’m proud of as it is than drag it out and ruin what made it special in the first place.

So yeah, I really appreciate when people show love for the existing work, likes are nice, but comments, reblogs with tags, or even just telling me what stuck with you make a massive difference in whether I feel motivated to continue something or not.
