        calloused fingers lightly roll over cold skin.  being akin to injuries like this for most of his life,  the nord had become quite accustomed to locating and treating bumps,  breaks and cuts.  though the male certainly wasn’t a healer,  he could help where possible.  moving the limb around against his palm,  vilkas satisfied he couldn’t feel  (or hear)  any breakage,  however from the tumble she took,  would guess swelling would set in soon.  “ the way i heard it as a boy was ‘𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞’.  though you may have trouble trying to fight against water. ”  

        luckily home was not to far away,  if he get could her to whiterun,  perhaps danica could treat the injury.  as vilkas stands a low whistle rings,  soon followed by the gentle steps of hooves.  an ebony colt comes to a stop near the pair,  it’s gleaming fur darker than armour wore by the nord.  “ there’s no break that i could find,  but i’d rather not have you walking on that ankle,  so you will be riding on 𝐊𝐎𝐋 the rest of the way. ”  leaving no room for her to argue,  vilkas leant over and wound an arm under her shoulder to lift the woman up.  

        “ now  -  do you need help mounting the horse or do you wish to attempt it by yourself?  only you may fall into the water again and i’m not sure you’ll escape a break the next time round. ” 

𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐊 𝐔𝐏𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒 as surprise writes itself plainly on her face before melting away to a contended amusement, lips pulled at the corners into a smile. ❛ water does strike me as a rather unyielding foe. ❜ it is only when the man finishes looking over her injury that selene slowly attempts to move her ankle to check it herself, wincing softly as the pain that radiates from the movement. it was already getting difficult to move, it wouldn’t be long before the bruise would begin to form.

golden eyes snap from vilkas’ face as he whistles towards the sound of hooves that approach and selene makes no effort to hide the joy apparent on her face as the creature nears. his tone tells her that she has little room to argue - not that would intended to - so she merely nods her head in agreement as an arm is wrapped around her shoulder and lifts her to her feet.

standing with one foot raised off the ground and most of her weight supported by the man, selene can’t help the laugh that escapes her. ❛ you’re right. i don’t think i’ll be able to do it myself and i’d rather not become reacquainted with the water in such a way. ❜ a careful step is taken closer to kol, an eager hand reaching out to gingerly run along the dark hair of their broad neck to show her appreciation for the service it was about to give. ❛ i do appreciate all your help. if you hadn’t come by, i worry i may have been out here all night. ❜
