Then And Now | Kris & Key
Kris glared silently at the other for a spilt second before pulling him towards an empty table in the corner. “Yes I know I deserve it, I left everyone and everything without even a goodbye. But I’m here now so be grateful for that. Christ that kick hurt Kibum!” He lifted his leg slightly and massaged his bruised shin. Kris looked up, taking in all the details that had or hadn’t changed about Kibum’s face. The only major difference was that his face looked older, more mature, it was a face that had seen things. “I say that I have changed, I’m here and I wasn’t before. But you might not understand, seeing as you’re still into manicures as much as you were before. The dive never stops being one”. He knew he shouldn’t have said that, knew it might piss Key off but he couldn’t help it. Key was one of the people he envied, wanted to have what they had sometimes. It seemed like Key hardly did anything and yet he was top of the rank, the best of the best.
Kris lifted up his hand to indicate for a waiter, once it came he asked for a coffee and french toast. Once completed with his order he looked over at Key. “Going to have the usual Key? Still eat and drink the same substances?”.
"Well, it did mean to hurt you." Key said when they were settled in one of the empty tables in the restaurant, sitting face to face. And of course he was grateful, although he wouldn't admit it out loud. Seeing Kris again brought back old memories, the time when he hadn't even meet his teammates.
Clicking his tongue, he rolled his eyes at the older man. "Yeah, whatever you say then. And why do you say it like manicure's a bad thing?" he glared slightly at Kris. He knew it too, people never stay the same; like Key wasn't Kibum anymore, but Kris didn't have to know about that. There were things to be left untold, maybe it would anyway, but later perhaps. But about the change Kris told him he had, his physical maybe didn't take a lot of parts in that. All in all, he still the handsome guy he met years ago; well yes, the maturity had taken the most place. Except for the freakishly tall figure he had now, he was definitely taller than Minho and Key didn't even want to think about that further.
"Pancake and coffee. Black, please." Key said to the waiter ignoring the male across the table, just because. He shrugged, "why would I change that." He did never trying another breakfast, maybe a little change now and then but he enjoyed his morning with pancake and coffee the most. "Anyway," Key started, sending Kris a glance. "Where were you all this time?"
