Old rivals || Mei & Hugh
I hope none of you are burglars, or worse…Team Plasma grunts.
The young trainer blinked her eyes before her gaze fell on the familiar boy that was scanning the crowd. How grumpy he was. It was like he hadn’t changed at all. She hadn’t seen the male in what felt like such a long time. While they were still kids, they would battle the days away, as what they call ‘rivals’. She didn’t know what to consider them now - Old rivals or merely acquaintances. ‘Childhood friends’ would work - But it wasn’t like she had any friends.
Speaking up a harsh tone, she had a single eyebrow raised, a smirk gracing her thin lips.
"Still sporting that Qwilfish hairstyle, I see. Tsk tsk, Hugh, I would’ve thought that when you got older you would’ve gotten some better fashion sense."
Of course, she shouldn’t be one to talk - She still wore her hair in the usual ‘doughnut’ fashion, but she didn’t see a problem with that. Running a hand through the brown pigtails, she turned her attention to the expression that he wore. Anger. At her? Probably not, though she wasn’t exactly great at reading people’s feelings.
"My, my, as angry as ever, eh, Hugh? You ought to lighten up."
Again, words began tumbling out of her mouth without control. It was a problem that she developed, snapping at anyone and everyone that she had the slightest problem with. Meh - It wasn’t like she’d ever see them again, and besides - She always teased her fellow native Aspertians like this.
‘How amusing.’
[/Hyu searched in the crowd for the owner of the familiar voice, which wasn’t too hard, since her looks were, in a way, unique.
Lightly pouting at her teasings, he just huffed]
Says the girl with donuts in her head. Anyway, it’s been a while, Mei.
She knew she had that one coming. Even people she hadn't remarked against spoke about it, whether it was to her face or behind her back. She had grow accustomed to the many rude comments that she received because of the fact that she dressed differently. Of course, it was only a personal opinion, but she learned to handle these words without batting a single eyelash.
"Well of course, but at least it doesn't look like a Pokémon."
It had indeed been a long time - The last time they saw each other was around three years ago, back when she was even more sharp tongued than she was now - If that were physically possible. Back then, she would go as far as to insult a little child until they cried. Now, she had been working on holding back, only commenting on smaller details.
Perhaps the male was already used to being teased by her - It wasn't a surprise. Once you'd been with her long enough, her retorts would begin to get old and it would soon be just a breeze by their ear. That was why the brunette wouldn't be able to stand traveling with someone else. She would soon lose the interest that she had with insulting them in order to boost her own ego.
Ah, yes - Mei was a rather egoistical one. She would bring down someone else if it meant that she would be brought up higher. How very rude of her to do so, but it was really the only thing that brought her joy - With the exceptions of food and a good nap.
"Yes, it has been - So, do tell me, have you matured over these three years or are you still as aggressive and reckless as ever? Still unleashing that rage of yours?"
