sometimes there are lines in the dungeon crawler carl book series that hit me like, “how can we make it to heaven if god doesn’t recognize us?” from a person who’s been transformed both physically and mentally by the dungeon or “sometimes parents can cast a shadow so thick, you can drown in it,” from a character who recognizes he was a shitty father to his fucking kid who died and it lands like a sucker punch

and then you remember there’s also a talking cat eating cherries from dirty Shirleys while a guy has to run around in boxers bc the AI thinks it’s funny. whiplash, dude lol

DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL AUDIOBOOK GOOGLE DRIVE

I now have the Jeff Hays audiobooks and have put them in a google drive for folks!

They're m4b files so have chapters and all the other details embedded in them! They will play on any software able to run mp4s, but specialized audiobook software will be able to track your position and show the chapters ect.

it's kinda crazy looking back how at first I thought I would lose interest in Dungeon Crawler Carl quickly. Mainly, the way Carl was so quick to be fine with killing made me think this would be just another power fantasy kind of story, where the protagonist just becomes the strongest guy ever and kills indiscriminately. Boy how wrong I was. I'm glad I stuck with it.
