Mass Effect Legendary Edition Official Reveal Trailer (4K)
Today my father told us that he’s lost his job and all financial burden is on me now. So from now on (and until god knows when the virus will be over), I will need to come up with at least HKD9000 per month just to survive the bills; $5500 for rent and the rest goes to all phones, water and (oh gods) electricity bills. I could use all the help I could get so if you’d like to commission me or just send a little support my way, I will be very very grateful.
Here is my Commission Sheet, my ko-fi, and my PayPal link. And here are some samples of my work.
Reblogging this post will also help me big time! Things have been rough and I would like to keep having a roof over our heads at least. I must thank everyone again for helping me out greatly in the past.
Below is just further explanation of our current situation so need to read but I’m just being open about it.
silly silly little comic
(all my comics are here!)
Hey remember when US and Russia was all like “We’re the best!!! We’ve won the space race!!!!” But India sent a kick-ass space probe to Mars and the whole mission was fuel efficient, costed less and a roaring success in the first try and then they were like “…..wait no that can’t be true” and still have the audacity to call us “underdeveloped” or only view us as a ‘third world country’? :)
For anyone who needs more info, the probe was called Mangalyaan (which literally means space probe vehicle) or Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) and you can also get more information here and here
Remember when NYT mocked India for this very thing and an TOI (a major indian newspaper) responded with this? :)
They were being racist asf and we were till respectful literally fuck you if you think ‘third world counties’ can’t be better than you
white people can and should reblog this
and shout out to the women engineers integral to the launch
“Indian staff from the Indian Space Research Organisation celebrate after the Mars Orbiter Spacecraft entered Mars’s orbit.
On November 5, 2013, a rocket launched toward Mars. It was India’s first interplanetary mission, Mangalyaan, and a terrific gamble. Only 40 percent of missions sent to Mars by major space organizations—NASA, Russia’s, Japan’s, or China’s—had ever been a success. No space organization had succeeded on its first attempt. What’s more, India’s space organization, ISRO, had very little funding: while NASA’s Mars probe, Maven, cost $651 million, the budget for this mission was $74 million.
This was not the only success of the mission. An image of the scientists celebrating in the mission control room went viral. Girls in India and beyond gained new heroes: the kind that wear sarees and tie flowers in their hair, and send rockets into space.”
x
there’s a movie adaptation of this! it’s obviously more dramatized/they use different names but i really really loved the movie! it’s called mission mangal and it was the first time i had heard of this and i was so surprised that literally? no one talked about it??? what they accomplished is incredible.
ALSO, Mangalyaan launched in 2013 and was meant to be a 6 month mission. It’s been in orbit around Mars now for more than 5 years and has enough propellant to keep going for even longer.
“The kind that wear sarees and tie flowers in their hair, and send rockets into space.”
FUCK YES. THIS IS THE TYPE OF REPRESENTATION I’VE BEEN HERE FOR!!
I love how the dudes at back are pure happy!!
The difference between my summer skin tone and my winter skin tone makes me hesitant to believe any skin bleaching rumors about celebrities tbh
You look better light skinned tbh
Ya know at first I was just gonna reply with a clever retort along the lines of “you would sound a lot smarter with your mouth closed”, and call it a day. But tbh I’m not mad at you for saying that, I pity you. You’re just another black woman thats been brainwashed by the media into having that “lightskin is the rightskin” mentality. Hopefully one day you’ll open your eyes and realize that beauty isn’t just Beyonce and Rihanna but also Naomi Campbell, Gabrielle Union and Lupita Nyong’o.😊😌

Not to mention the aboriginal stolen generation where children were literally taken from their families and given to white families to “assimilate” them and it’s still terrible the gap between white Australians and indigenous Australians.
Because we dont talk enough about this in the UK, especially not in schools. It is, at best, glossed over if mentioned at all.

“On June 7, we lost our father, Jose, and a month later, we lost our mother, Maria. My mother had been in the hospital for three weeks and after a short battle in the ICU, due to pneumonia and heart failure, she did not make it.
Times have been very tough in the past few weeks, after losing our father, and now our mother, we once again ask for your kindness in raising funds to give her a proper burial. We understand COVID-19 has hit many families hard but anything donated would be very appreciated and a simple share can go a long way.

say what you want about naughty dog and the last of us 2, but they’ve really set the bar when it comes to accessibility options. other game devs should take note. (link to thread)
irony is a thread about accessibility for low- or no-vision users, presented as a series of screenshots with barely a summary and no transcripts.
[image 1: Reddit post by SightlessKombat entitled “As A Gamer Without Sight, I’ve completed The Last Of Us Part II entirely without sighted assistance.” post text below:]
Just for context and to answer the first questions that normally comes into people’s heads, I have no sight whatsoever and use the term gamer without sight as “legal blindness”, often just shortened to being “blind”, can and often does include usable and or residual vision, which I’ve never had.
I started playing the game a couple of days before it launched thanks to an early review copy from Sony. Since then I’ve put so many hours into the game and finally finished my first playthrough today at around 22:30. Thanks to the accessibility options in this landmark title, I’ve not needed any sighted assistance whatsoever and this is the first time I’m able to say this for any videogame.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I may even expand this post, but just wanted to start it off and leave it here to recognise my first completion of this phenomenal title.
[image 2, two comments, transcribed below:]
WelcomeToOuterHeaven replies:
Congrats! That’s really awesome. Which accessibility options are you referring to and how do they work? I think i’ve heard something about this.
SightlessKombat replies:
This is not an exhaustive list, but it should give you some idea
• TTS (for the narration of the UI)
• Navigational Assistance (to aid me in traversing the environment)
• Enhanced Listen Mode (to allow me to scan for items and enemies with audio cues and track them with navigational assistance)
• Target Lock/auto-aim to allow me to line up my shots via audio cues and allow me to more quickly take down enemies
• Unlimited invisibility whilst prone (to better allow me to strategise in stealth scenarios, stealth attack unaware enemies and account for my inability to see cover.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask and I hope this information was useful.
[image 3: two comments, transcribed below:]
smiteymcsmiteface replies:
That’s super cool, congrats dude glad you got to enjoy it. Are there other games with this level of accessibility or is this new in your experience?
SightlessKombat replies:
This level? This is the first. Other games that could potentially be this accessible? There are at least a few. Some games have had these features in various forms, but not everything in one package like this. That’s why it’s such a landmark moment for the industry.
Reblogging this again this time with the transcript — I assumed the OP’s link to thread would be sufficient if not preferable for people with screen readers, and that’s why it was there, but, while I don’t think it would have been unnavigable, that presumption is still being made by me as a sighted individual so perhaps this is better.
Sorry for the duplication!

Hi, my name is Micaela Perrin Cruz, I am a 24 year old trans woman from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I have been transitioning for 4 years now. I have gone as far as my own resources can take me with my medical transition journey.
I’m ready for sex reassignment surgery and would appreciate your help.
The Haitian healthcare system is not equipped to do this kind of surgery. Even if they were, insurance companies do not include it.
Any law regarding support or even protection for trans people or any LGBTQ+ person is non existent.
I would get sex reassignment surgery in the United States, possibly New York.
The current pandemic has helped devalue the price of the of the Gaude (Haitians currency) while incomes have gone down almost completely and my mental health has only gotten worse with the financial stress plus increasing dysphoria.
So, If it is within your possibilities, please consider donating to my paypal account. My goal is to reach 16,000 US dollars, it’s a huge amount, but I believe that, that, plus my savings will be more than enough for my situation.

I feel as if everyday my dream only get further away from me… Please help an Haitian trans girl’s life dream become a reality.
For the people who have donated and/or rebloged so far: Thank you, it feels repetitive as I’ve tried to respond all the lovely messages you guys leave me, but I really can’t believe there are so many of you out there with hearts as big and shiny as I’ve seen. To take time on someone like me… to find others like me gives me the strenght to keep going and keep my head high. SO THANK YOU, A THOUSAND TIMES, THANK YOU
🏳️🌈 Ruth Ellis (1899 - 2000) was the daughter of former slaves. She came out as a lesbian when she was 16-years-old to the complete acceptance of her family. In 1937, Ruth and her longtime partner moved to Detroit from their hometown of Springfield, Illinois for the promise of higher wages. There, she became the first woman in Michigan to run her own printing business. She printed fliers, posters, and stationary in the front room of her home, which also quickly became a hotspot for Black LGBTQ social life. Before long, Ruth was helping those who came around in any way she could, including by paying for college tuitions. After the Stonewall uprising, 70-year-old Ruth began giving speeches in support of gay and lesbian rights all across the country. She remained an activist for the rest of her long life and even spent her 100th birthday leading the San Francisco Dyke March. At the time of her death at 101, she was recognized as the oldest out lesbian in the US. She is the subject of the documentary "Living With Pride: Ruth C. Ellis @ 100" and is the namesake of the Ruth Ellis Center, a shelter for homeless and at-risk LGBTQ youth in Detroit.
Celebrate Ruth Ellis.

Chaplin met Lita MacMurray when she was 12yrs old. He got her pregnant during the filming of The Gold Rush when she was 15. He fired her from the set and tried forcing her to have an abortion. Years after covering that disgusting situation up, at the age of 54 he married Oona O’Neil, who had just turned 18.
It’s absolutely disgusting how these men use their money, fame, and influence to silence their victims. & we can only guess at the number of young girls we will never know about who have been targeted by these demons.
This whole “seperate the art from the artist” bs has kept such criminals protected from the scrutiny of law. We need to accept that art cannot cover up crimes and that in want of better art, we cannot let criminals do better crimes.

For my little sister to get a new service dog that can actually accommodate her needs, it's going to cost $10,500.
American "Healthcare" is a fucking crime against humanity.
I'm having to watch my little sister decide what parts of her life aren't that important so she can take care of her current service dog until she (the dog) passes, and then get another service dog.
That means possibly months of being unable to do everyday human things like walk from her bed to the bathroom, make herself food, play with her niece and nephew.
Every one of those activities is legitimately dangerous for my sister to perform without active heart rate monitoring and assistance. And her service dog is sick enough that an alert was missed and my sister passed out yesterday for the first time since she got Ellie the service dog. Four years without serious incident. Gone.
I don't know how to make shit like this real for other people. If your activism ignores disability, if your world view doesn't include people with chronic illnesses, you can get right the fuck away from me.
I'm playing zero fucking games about this shit anymore. I will be openly hostile in future to anyone trying to defend the healthcare system as it currently stands. I'm not coming for Doctors on principle, but anyone supporting the current system as the continuing future can get fucked up the ass by a rust covered cactus. This is in-fucking-human.
Hey OP.
This is a real and valid point and something a lot of folks don’t realize about service dogs.
But your sister, specifically....do you think perhaps we could crowdfund the money for her new service animal? That’s no way to live. If all of my followers donated $2 each she’d have her new animal with some left over.
This isn’t the way healthcare should be. But maybe for at least one person we can help RIGHT NOW.
She set up a GoFundMe.
My current service dog, Ellie, has been diagnosed with aggressive Lymphoma and while we … Sarah Stroop needs your support for Sarah’s new se
Well then!
Okay, guys, you know the drill. I’ll throw mine in on payday. In the meantime, let’s do everything we can to get this girl a dog! Her life literally depends on it. REBLOG (likes do nothing), donate a few bucks if you can, spread it far and wide.
Wow wtf HIV/AIDS was discovered by Flossie Wong-Staal, an Chinese-American woman, and she’s the reason the HIV test even exists. AND THEN she invented the molecular knife that lead to treatments for HIV/AIDS. And she’s STILL ALIVE. We don’t hear about the contributions of Women of Color enough, my word. Madness.
Flossie Wong-Staal - Wikipedia
https://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flossie_Wong-Staal
you can always tell a major breakthrough is made by a woman, a woc or any poc because it’s either completely ignored or never credited like it just happened by itself
I learned in a Latin Studies class (with a chill white dude professor) that when the Europeans first saw Aztec cities they were stunned by the grid. The Aztecs had city planning and that there was no rational lay out to European cities at the time. No organization.
When the Spanish first arrived in Tenochtitlan (now downtown mexico city) they thought they were dreaming. They had arrived from incredibly unsanitary medieval Europe to a city five times the size of that century’s london with a working sewage system, artificial “floating gardens” (chinampas), a grid system, and aqueducts providing fresh water. Which wasn’t even for drinking! Water from the aqueducts was used for washing and bathing- they preferred using nearby mountain springs for drinking. Hygiene was a huge part if their culture, most people bathed twice a day while the king bathed at least four times a day. Located on an island in the middle of a lake, they used advanced causeways to allow access to the mainland that could be cut off to let canoes through or to defend the city. The Spanish saw their buildings and towers and thought they were rising out of the water. The city was one of the most advanced societies at the time.
Anyone who thinks that Native Americans were the savages instead of the filthy, disease ridden colonizers who appeared on their land is a damn fool.
They’ve also recently discovered a lost Native American city in Kansas called Etzanoa It rivals the size of Cahokia, which was very large as well.
Makes me happy to see people learn about the culture of my country :D
Also, please remember that the idea of a nomadic or semi-nomadic culture being “less intelligent”, “less civilized” (and please unpack that word) was invented by people who wanted to make a graph where they were on the top.
Societies that functioned without 1) staying exclusively in one location or 2) having to make complicated, difficult-to-construct tools to go about their daily lives… were not somehow less valid than others.
This is why I fucking hate it when Europeans make jokes about how they have “more history” than the Americas. “This church is older than your country hahaha.” Actually, it’s older than the country you put there, massacring millions in the process, but go off, I guess.
And this is just the Aztec civilization the Mayans and Incas were also creating unique and mind boggling communities across South America as well as exchanging knowledge and resources with neighboring and even very distant tribes
