So I’ve started re-reading your Looking Into Different Eyes series from the beginning, and something Fiyero said in the 2nd chapter made a question pop into my head:

What would have happened if Fiyero had been burnt in Scarecrow form?

Based on how you describe Elphaba’s spell later on, I doubt it would outright kill him since that’s, ya know, the whole point of the spell.

Would he get a new body from the things around him at the time? Would he come back with bad, but survivable injuries similar to when Mombi forced him out of Nome form? Would Elphaba/her magic step in to prevent it somehow like in Oz when he had his “makeover”? Something else I haven’t accounted for?

Very curious about your thoughts on this.

When in his temporary form it was in anyway shape meant to destroy/harm him to where he could not function the magic would indeed lash out.

It never got that severe, but if it was the case it would attempt to fix itself. He is immortal after all. It would protect and fix him if need be.

I love your stories so much! How long do you think the characters knew each other during their "Shiz days" ? I like to think they were friends for at least a few months before shit hit the fan, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on that

My personal headcanon I think it’s a couple months for sure. I like to think they had a thick bond before it all went to hell.

Makes things sadder when it all happens. Friendships ripped apart and ruined cuz of all the events. I refuse to believe that they all weren’t friends. Even with the small amount we see from the movies (which is a little of the play unfortunately) they did have some friendship

I just read BTYBR and I find Dorothy and Jack’s interaction really sweet, especially when they find Tik-Tok

Just rereading BTYBR and I can’t keep imagining that bow and Glinda while co parenting jack is like having two divorced parents taking care of their very tally energetic son especially during the early chapters.

I just read your answer on the characters futures, and I'm curious about what head space Fiyero is in those few days between Elphaba's death and his own? I can imagine there is a sense of peace he feels in that they lived a full life together, but I'm curious on how he handles it...even though it's temporary since he dies days after her! Also just want to add that I love your art and fanfics!

It’s definitely agony, pain, this feeling of something missing, but he knew it would have to come eventually.

He takes these days he knows Elphaba gave him to gather everything, make sure everyone is okay before he eventually falls right behind her. He couldn’t stand the idea of living without her.

But he still cares about his family, so he would do his best to make sure everything is order. That everyone will be okay when they are gone. That Liir lived a happy life, that Dorothy and Ozma will be okay, that Boq and Nimmie, and Glinda will continue onwards.

It’s peaceful when he finally sleeps, like that post about death being a parent taking you to a quiet room during a party. Everyone is happy, and you, finally get to rest.
