just finished listening to the penderwicks at point mouette audiobook again and i just can't get over how clearly skye and jeffrey were set up to be something,,, romantically?? not even just with all the marriage talk and the post-alec-reveal-scene by the ocean where she would NOT leave his side but i had almost forgotten about the entire jealousy thing that skye briefly had going on when jeffrey mentioned his musician cousin (2000s childhood/teen media's obsession with kids dating their cousins should be studied but anyway) ??? i just still can't see why jeanne birdsall would handcraft them for each other and present their bond so visibly different from e.g. jane & jeffrey's or even batty & jeffrey's like there was something so open and honest and emotional about skyeffrey's relationship especially in book 3 that none of the other pairings even came close to, just for them to feel like different people in spring & at last. like she really made it look like jeffrey was forcing himself onto skye against her will when she was so obviously crushing on him (in a confused, skye-esque, 12-year-old kid kinda way) in point mouette. idk i just wish they were treated differently (and i really really really don't like the concept of battyffrey)

FanFiktion schreiben ist wirklich das dämlichste Hobby, das man sich vorstellen kann.

Gefühlt 24/7 hängt man in seinen Geschichten, denkt pausenlos über Formulierungen nach. Bemüht sämtliche Webseiten, die einem eine Alternative für seufzen/ murmeln/ gehen (die Liste ist endlos) anbieten könnten.

Verzweifelt darüber, das tolle Wort das man dann gefunden hat, schon ein paar Absätze weiter in dem vorgeschriebenen Objekt benutzt zu haben.

Denkt sich die kompliziertesten Plots aus, nur damit einer der Dullies dazwischen grätscht, laut schreit „Moment mal!“ und alles über den Haufen wirft.

Dann kommen aktuelle Ereignisse auf den Bildschirm geflattert, man sitzt mit einer halben Story da und denkt sich nur „echt jetzt, das passt jetzt wirklich vorzüglich…“

Sitzt stundenlang am Laptop damit die P18 Szene wirklich lesbar ist und nicht nur wie ein Kuchenrezept klingt (er nimmt dies, tut das, davor/danach/währenddessen diesdas…)

Dass man manche Sätze und Unterhaltungen träumt und die dann im Halbschlaf in sein Handy tippt, versteht sich ja von selbst. Und dass generell ohne Handy gar nichts geht weil man in jeder freien Sekunde ja mal in seinen Projekten weiter tippen könnte.

Verzweifelt lädt man das dann irgendwann hoch, wenn man gewisse Formatierungshürden überstanden hat - und wartet panisch darauf dass irgend eine Art von Reaktion kommt.

Und dann kriegt man mit der Zeit DMs, Reviews und Feedback jeglicher Art über alle möglichen Wege, die plötzlich sagen:

„Danke für deine Storys, ich lese manche immer wieder weil sie mir gut tun“

Und dann weiß man: ja, verdammt. Deswegen.

Natürlich schreibt man in erster Linie für sich selber, doch damit auch anderen eine Freude zu bereiten, ist ein sehr schöner, befriedigender, Nebeneffekt 💛

… und damit verabschiede ich mich wieder an mein laufendes Projekt, das nun doch länger geht als gedacht, weil, ich hab da plötzlich über Nacht weitere Wendungen gefunden die einfach so perfekt passen 💛
