okay you asked for it. /J
i just think this AU is the most unique one they've done till this day!!!! and it just feels like a complete story for me, like it's a whole ass movie. there was plot, there was backstory, there was ACTION. and ohh the tension.... sylus and mc's drama of separating and meeting again.... chef's kiss.
i also really like the dynamic of being sylus's protege.... it's kind of like what if we grew up in the n109 zone instead yknow? as a hunter we usually don't agree with linkon sylus's approach to things but in here he's the one who taught us everything, not just how to shoot but how to be tough and how to survive in a dog eat dog world! and that's so interesting to me!!! and they did it so well!!! („𖦹﹏𖦹„)
ALSO he just looks so mobster in this hair and outfit it's driving me crazy. like he feels much older even though they just added a mullet on him.... or am i just [mouth foams]

DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THIS SCENE WHERE MC WAS THREATENING SOMEONE AND IT WASN'T WORKING UNTIL SYLUS SHOWS UP AND EVERYONE'S LIKE OH SHIT.... HE'S WITH HER..... OH MY GOD BROOOO
just the slow steps.... and it's like enough to make everyone freeze.... and did you see that even among the Praedators, sylus is "an even greater danger" OHHHH ITS SO GOOD I CAN SEE IT IN MY HEAD SO CLEARLY...
ALSO ALSO AAHHGHHHHHHGHHNN THE MISCOMMUNICATION...... usually i hate this trope but in here it's soooo gooddd i'm gonna cry.......... it's because tartarus is not as open as linkon sylus, he's just assuming that MC doesn't want to be with him at all......
like he's more closed off but i wonder if it's because their environment is rougher? so he feels like he needs to be more strict with feelings and stuff??? either way i love love love this interpretation of sylus....
AND ALSO. i've said before that i really adore how sylus is a movie guy. idk if you guys noticed but we're always watching movies with him and he's always inviting us!!! AND THEY DID IT HERE IN THIS CARD AND THERE WAS SUCH A GOOD SET UP AND PAY OFF FOR THE MOVIE DATE THEY MISSED

I got into silly mood and tried to imagine how recently resurrected lieutenants might've looked. It's mostly vibes, but I imagined Turel preferes to bludgeon his opponents to death and somehow it led to gladiator's look, Dumah is called Ronin in the game files, so it's some segmented armor for him, Rahab became a swashbuckler, Zephon feels like he is the sneaky one so it's leather armor for him, and Melchia should probably get a chest plate since his skin isn't as durable as others. And I couldn't decide on Raziel's outfit, so he got random shoulder pads.
Might rework it later, because I feel they need some kind of uniformity.
in my humble opinion, no uniformity required, I think the idea that they had their own aesthetics and eventual customs, leading to cultures is a fascinating concept for Empire-era Nosgoth and should absolutely be looked at with greater interest.

Skills:
Zayne has Ice skills as per his evol of course.
However, unlike Caleb, Sylus, Xavier (and probably Valko) he and Rafayel have more elemental focused skills than physical ones.
Also, unlike them has more buffs and debuffs and also healing skills.
Zayne probably has, Bufubarion (base ice skill) and, Ice Age (learns it after leveling up).
As Dawnbreaker however, he has Raging Blizzard and Glacial Blast as his primary ice skills.
While he doesn’t have a strong affinity towards Light, he does have some basic light skills like, Hamabarion (severe Light Attack)
About Buffs and Debuffs, Zayne is in fact, STACKED with them, because yes.
His base skills come with buffs like,
Ice Block (Nullifies an Ice attack against all allies once for 1 turn.)
Kannabi Veil (Decreases damage to all allies until the next turn.) (my beloved-)
Makarakarn (Reflects a Magic attack once for 1 ally for 1 turn.)
Impaler’s Animus (Increases the damage of the next attack and adds Pierce effect for self.)
Donum Magici (Greatly increases damage of the next Magic-based attack on 1 ally/self.)
Donum Gladi (Greatly increases damage of the next Strength-based attack on 1 ally.)
Dekunda (Negates status debuff effects on all allies.)
Dekaja (Negates status buff effects on all foes.)
And of course, Debilitate (Lowers all stats of all foes by 1 rank for 3 turns)
He also has Luster Candy (Raises all stats of all allies by 1 rank for 3 turns.) and yes, he actually mistook it for an item because of the name and though it was a real candy (He got shy over it and the bois sometimes tease him about it. Especially RageBaiter 2000, Sylus.)
Another someone who has ailment skills and healing from ailment skills as well :) his ailment inflicting skills are mostly focused on Sleep and Mirage so his best ailment skills is Slumber Vortex (Xav definitely makes him use that against to go into a deepass sleep fr), and to heal from ailment skills he has Me Patra
Speaking of healing skills….. yup he is THE HEALER of the team, he originally starts out with Mediarama with Medium Healing spell but then he attains the Support/Buff Skill, Bowl of Hygieia (Greatly increases the effect of the next HP healing skill of self and allows it to heal above MAX HP.) (if you know this one, heres a candy!🍬) and bro became unstoppable. (Heres a small cake for ya :3 🍰)
Spams Bowl of Hygieia as if he is eating infinite number of macarons and speedrunning to his next dental check-up. (No one is dying on his watch nuh uh)
Also is the one to keep track of the things in inventory to the point, will throw an Electric Gem at you to use only after 1 second of requesting for the said object.
Is the Worried MomTM when it comes to everyone, especially towards Xavier and Sylus since they both keep running off one to get more information (about the demons around them and Da’at) the other to find a challenge worthy of him (Bro runs off whenever he knows theres a boss demon nearby, it’s also to ragebait everyone ofc).
In Almighty Skills, he has “Divine Arrowfall” (Dawnbreaker only skill), “Heavenly Ikuyumi” ,“Meditation” (Dawnbreaker only skill) and of course, “Megidolaon” are the skills that he learns after leveling up.
For his passive skills, he probably has:
Null Light (Blocks Light attacks)
Mana Aid (Recover MP after a battle.)
Heal and High Heal Pleroma (Greatly increases Healing magic effects.)
Boon Boost and Boon Boost EX (Buffs and Debuffs casted by caster lasts 3 extra turns)
Drain Ice (Absorbs damage from Ice skills.)
High Restore (MP recovery when you strike a foe's weakness or land a Critical.)
Enduring Soul (<- This one’s a must) (Endures lethal attack and fully heals HP once in battle.) (if you know this one have a cake :3 🎂)
Also has a special skill for himself, when someone casts Confusion on him and it connects, Linkon Doctor “goes to sleep” and Dawnbreaker instead takes his place and fights.
In Magatsuhi skills he probably has:
Omagatoki Charge: All charge effects will remain for all allies until the next turn.
Omagatoki Succession: Allows the caster to use the next attack 4 times. Counts as a "charge" skill. (Dawnbreaker only skill)
Sheild Of God: Greatly decreases damage to all allies until the next turn.
He also has an additional Resonance Magatsuhi skill with MC when used, not only heals everyone (plus points for already having Bowl of Hygieia activated) but will also be able to block Physical attacks for one turn.
Also, also, has a super special skill with ALL the Jack Frosts, yes even Black Frost and King Frost (all the Frosts have officially adopted Zayne as their dad and call him, “Papa Frost” and yes, I will die on this hill), creating an EXTREMLY POWERFUL Ice Attack that also heals and blocks Ice for 2 turns.
Affinities:
Is weak to Fire, because yes. (although will learn to at least Resist Fire after leveling up)
Doesn’t have a strong affinity towards Light but isn’t weak to it either.
Has a bit lower affinity towards Physical (attacks against him) but compensates that with having the third highest Agility stat out of all the boys
Resists wind/force
Blocks Sleep and Mirage
Resists Charm and Poison
Has a slight weakness towards Confusion compensates(?) with Dawnbreaker getting summoned.
He can also be inflicted with Seal as well.
