Getting hired full-time at trivago?

Hi Serena!

Hope you are doing well :) I wanted to ask about how difficult it was to get a full-time job at trivago as a foreigner? I am thinking of getting an internship there, seeing how trivago is and applying for a full-time position. Is it relatively hard? Does trivago hire many people? And also, what would you recommend to get hired? I have many questions! Any tips or advice would be very much appreciated!

Hello Serene! I'm glad to found your blog! I have recently submitted my application to trivago and was invited to a video interview. However, I didn't managed to complete the video interview because there was a problem in my internet connection. I've wrote to the HR in charge asking her about the issue, but she didn't reply me. I would like to seek your honest opinion: would it annoy the HR if I reapply? Should I mentioned I have applied previously? Thank you for your possible suggestions.

No worries for the video interview. They are mostly a pre-screening to see your level of English and have a first impression of you!I know the system is a bit disorienting, especially if you have never done it before.

I think it was good that you wrote HR to inform them about the internet connection problem. If you do not get a reply within 2 weeks just re-apply mentioning that problem :) It also show HR your motivation to come to trivago!

Hi! Thank you for your message! :) trivago is always looking for talents! Brand is one of our core departments and the selection is quite hard. However the Head of the department likes ambitious and hard working people. Show him your passion for travel, the reasons why you are the right person for the job, what you will bring to the company and do not be shy about it!
