A few weeks ago I took part at a Laser Cutting workshop at Fab Lab Berlin - hosted by Geekkettes.

At the beginning of the workshop one of the Geekkettes told us to be aware that Laser Cutting was going to be addicting. 

What can I say... it is true!!!

I had so much fun at Fab Lab Berlin. It was a great experience and I brought back home my laser cut moka! (I made a mistake at the second round of engraving... that "3D" effect was not on purpose).

Vardø is a town which rises on a island (Vardøya) in the extreme northeastern part of Norway. 

The town suffered a big economic crisis that leaded to a massive exodus and a long period of pessimism. Because of the emigration a lot of buildings and houses were abandoned and let to decay. 

Nowadays the people of Vardø are trying to "restore" the town, starting from their buildings and their heritage.

Vardø is the only city of Finnmark with an intact pre-war structure in a historical city centre. This makes the city nationally unique.

Although I come from sunny and warm south of Italy, I felt right away connected with this project and the marvelously hard working people of the nordic Vardø.

Die Berlinerinnen - Italiane a Berlino is a women centered Blog created by a group of Italians (women), in which they share experiences and advices about moving/settling and generally living in Berlin.

The Hostel Worker is a unique Facebook page that talks about hostel life from the staff point of view. 

As I used to work in a hostel, I started following the page and finding myself in most of the funny stories.

The page became pretty popular, so, when "The Hostel Worker" asked me to help with a restyling of the logo, for the upcoming Blog, I couldn't say no. 

The aim was to "fix" the original image (which was created with paint), without changing it radically. 

I also created some banners and illustrations for the blog.
