Catch Me If You Can | Adelaide and Casey
evil-littleadelaide:
Adelaide had to stop going to some of her favorite places ever since she left CARMA. Â But she still had a few that they didnât know about. Â Some she danced at, some she used to part own. Â And a lot of meta criminals she knew owed her so she frequented at these places.
She was in the back when she heard the police arrived. Â How little she heard about her escape made her realize how low profile it was. Â They probably wanted to keep it hush that a meta criminal got loose. Â Especially one like her. Â
Making her way to the front, Adelaide recognized one of the cops from narcotics. Â And also from her arrest. Â Between him and his damned sister, she couldnât get away from them. Â His sister was definitely a meta. Â No one could fight that good. Â And he was very close as well. Â Either way, she hated them both for ever bringing her to that place and she knew heâd recognize her right away. Â âI have to go,â she whispered to someone else as the cops made there way to the back, making people leave so they can search the place. Â She moved through the back, going towards the back exit so she could get out before he saw her.

Casey was always so good at thinking of every outcome and angle to situations such as these - it's why his operations were always successful. This was no different than any other, and he knew they would find exactly what they were looking for. However, what came as a complete shock - which was a surprise in and of itself - was seeing Ade there. Or at least he thought he saw her through the crowd of people.
Now, there were two choices: he could follow it through step by step personally, or let another in his unit take oversight. Seeing as how he did trust his unit and they already knew what they were doing, he chose to go after someone who might not of even been there. After all, wouldn't he of been informed had she no longer been in custody somewhere?
Instead of following directly, he left out the front and took a chance to cut her off directly - and when he was right his eyes went wide. "Really? My day was going so well, too. Do I have to arrest you again? Pretty sure you shouldn't even be here. You did get hotter, though - just saying." Shaking his head a little, he pulled out his phone, but not to call for backup - he was going to call Corey. Maybe she knew about this. Regardless, the chances of bringing her in alone were far too mall for his liking, and he could take that like a man. And patrol would be no help in dealing with the meta, either. He trusted Corey for this and only her.
