(( I’m watching Kakegurui and jesus fucking christ Midari Ikishima is just IV. Absolutely batshit insane and depraved as all hell. Would also stab her own eye out probably. ))

(( IV does not have a high school diploma or a GED. She was pulled out of school as a teenager by her dad for Downright Horrible Reasons, and she’s just never gone back.

She’s done and learned how to do a lot of really weird, specific and obscure shit while stalking people she’s obsessed with (Ah Yes This Boy Is Into Wood Carving So I Will Now Learn All About Wood Carving Down To The Very Last Detail), but pursuing proper education, even for the sake of someone she’s after, is not something she’s willing to struggle through.

It’s been decades and decades since she was in school, and she is not at all interested in investing so much time into relearning everything. It’s caused problems in the past (like getting a proper job is quite difficult), but she always manages to find a workaround. ))

“I don’t really have a favorite knife… But I do have a favorite scalpel!” She quickly whipped it out with a wide grin, “Handy for cutting people open, or scaring people away from you, stabbing things… Plus, look it has a cute pink ribbon around it!” She totally didn’t add the ribbon on it to make it less scary, nope.

“Thanks! It’s because of my pink hair. Oh- IV like an IV bag? That’s so funny, because I’m a doctor! I work with those things. Is that a nickname or that’s like your actual name? Kinda cool if it is.”

“Oh, sick!” IV retorts as she stares at the scalpel. “The ribbon’s a cute touch, looks sharp as hell though.” Without even thinking about it, she lifts a hand and pokes the end of it, which then makes a small cut on the tip of her finger. “Oh yeah, real sharp. Quality shit right there.” She then puts her bleeding finger in her mouth.

“Kinda like that, yeah. If we’re bein’ technical, it’s not my birth name, but I’ve been goin’ by it for so long that it might as well be.” She’d abandoned her birth name a long time ago. “So, y’say you’re a doctor? That’s pretty cool, wouldn’t have guessed it just by lookin’ at ya. Must be hard work, yeah?”

(( I genuinely have no idea why IV never wears shoes but that’s?? Kinda how it’s always been?? Some older designs had her in knee socks but I’m like 99% certain I’ve never once drawn her with shoes on.

“Hello again, not zombie lady! Sorry, I probably shouldn’t have been staring, but the knife was shiny and yeeaahhh…” Also wanted to her reaction if she DID miss. Not saying she would have laughed, but she might have. She would have at least healed her after! Would totally make up for laughing!

“Oh! It’s Sakura. I probably should’a introduced myself after threating to splatter your insides all over the street. What’s your name, not zombie lady?”

“It’s a good knife, can’t blame ya for starin’. I’m pretty fond of the thing myself.” She twirls it around once more before suddenly stabbing it back into the table, just barely grazing her index finger. Yikes, it would have been embarrassing to mess up only after someone decides to talk to her, and after bragging about being good at it!

“Sakura, huh? That’s a pretty name you got there! Glad I got to know it without gettin’ eviscerated on the street.” She responds with a laugh. “Just call me IV, it’s a lot less wordy than ‘not zombie lady’.”

She has been watching that knife for longer than she would like to admit. Was it out of concern? Maybe a little. Was it out of morbid fascination that the strange woman might actually stab her own hand out of boredom? More of that than anything. Up, down, up, down. She slowly sipped her second coffee of the day. 

“I must say, you’re very committed to this game.”

“Oh! Hey!” She exclaims, looking up from the table. “Didn’t see ya there, girlie. I’ve gotten pretty good at it, don’t need to focus as hard as I used to. Been a while since I missed.” There may be unintentional implications that she has absolutely stabbed her hand by doing this before. She takes the butterfly knife out from the table and begins idly twirling it again.

“Say, I don’t think I got yer name last time. What should I call ya, darlin’?”

She’s twirling a butterfly knife rather skillfully, occasionally stabbing it between her fingers on the table in front of her. Is she trying to stab her own hand? It’s definitely possible. Boredom does wonders.
