5.3.17 Was doing some essay writing in one of my favourite cafés in Clifton yesterday while it rained, and then went to play the last game of South West League for quidditch. We lost, but not as badly as we thought we would! I’m finding this essay so interesting it’s a shame I’m finding it so hard to write! Xxx emily

The days we took for granted are the days we shut our eyes when the world was at its best. Remember the long lines in concert tickets? What about the hours we had to wait for the boarding gates to open? The music that’s so loud, you had to shout to talk to your friends. The early dinner reservations because the house was always full, the buses we had to chase just to get home, and the full grocery shelves. Even the air brushing across our face in the hot, summer days, and the feel of sweat after hours of torture at the gym. The things we used to complain about are the things we wish to have now. Would we remember to embrace those little things when everything becomes better? Would we remember how it felt to be stripped of freedom when we’re finally free? —Serine
