Is technology making us lazy? Probs
It’s difficult to start these type of articles, because there is always a debate that says technology is indeed making us lazy, and soon we will be fat blobs that are always sitting in chairs and have a screen in front of us, that do everything, ideal i would say even would say life goals, but truth be told as cool as it is just sitting around being a big fat blob is the down part is we are fat blobs, which I don’t think is a bad thing not to be offensive to anyway, maybe stating it is more offensive, anyways I apologize, sorry I’m such an unintentional jerk.
One of the consequences of booming technology is that old ways of communication are dying, the other day my sister texted me if i wanted to hang out with her, she is one room away from me. But heck I see that everywhere on the bus on the train, on the street even in bars, people are texting each other to supposedly not look so obvious when they are talking about a potential mate, we order food without even talking, even order transportation that way, actually talking on the phone is awkward as shit for people, especially me for some reason I hate talking on the phone, maybe I’m just traumatized from that one time I picked up the phone and they thought I was my mom, well that was more than one time. And if you are guessing it no my mom, does not have a deep voice I was a teenager, changes happen… now that we are with changes even dating and meeting people changed.
Even how people meet there days is from an app from the phone, I could make up some statistics bullshit about how people are now meeting online, or google something about it, find millions of articles, but come on, I’m pretty a lot of you have met friends, lovers, significant others in social media, even on tinder where “everyone is on there for a dare or i just did it for the lulz” I saw that once in a profile. There is even apps where you can order weed, obviously only valid in the states where recreational marihuana is available. There is an app where other people shop for you and the bring your groceries to the footstep of your house while they judge you.
So is this article a rant about technology? No. As I see it’s a great time to be alive, I don’t deem technology as a bad thing, I see it as a way to focus on other things, like swinging a bat, or going out with friends, learning a new language, discovering new people.
