like i quite literally have never been more passionate about anything than i am about the human race’s invariable desire to tell stories and the fact that we always find a way to do it, through spoken language and written language and body language and visual art and theater and poetry and oral tradition and a million other things. there are so many things we take for granted about the human experience that we never stop to think about but i really want you to take a step back and consider how fucking amazing it is that our need to tell stories transcends all boundaries of time and geography and borders and language. it is one of very few things that is legitimately intrinsic to human nature and i will never stop being completely in awe of humanity for that.

Team Black stans are forever whitewashing Rhaenyra, turning her into a total saint. It’s exactly like Ryan Condal—his blatant favouritism is stripping away all her personality and that gritty, complex edge she has in the books. They’ve essentially hollowed her out for the sake of making her ‘likable’.

An Enduring Mystery (book!helaegon fic)

She was a happy, pleasant girl, he was a sad, sulky boy. He wonders how she's perfectly content even if the doom in their future was only a matter of time. She's something he can't fully grasp but had always been for him - and though he can't truly understand her, he wouldn't have it any other way.

note: I always wanted to write something like this, a 'cozy', not-so-serious series of one-shots inspired more by book!Helaegon. In vague chronological order, if there will be smut it will be more implied rather than described.
