Holy fire = creative fire.
Creativity is a catalyst for Xeper –Xeper is a process that is established and by undertaking it, one is transformed (Remanifest). What propels one to actualize themselves and start the process has to do with the fire within them and the mystery that surrounds them (Runa). That “fuel” becomes real and is sustained only through the actualizing of one’s potential (Black Flame) and recycled in new ways (creative output). You could also say that this is tied together through one’s discovery of their long-desire or Wyrd. (why the f**k are you doing any of this in the first place?). We need to connect dots and see patterns so new knowledge comes forth (Synesis). Understand our relationship as living creatures and beings and respect that we are also limited in our capacities (Arkte) but we are also curious in what we possess for potential (The Gift).
And what of techne? Learning a skill that can be applied in a practical manner will be useful and beneficial to the individual. The Greeks argued that techne practically applied through craftsmanship is the only positive thing of value. Art for art’s sake is not. I would argue this thought and say that art alone does indeed award one important knowledge that can be applied practically and usefully, – and that is gaining knowledge about the self, and how it works to change one’s subjective and alter the way we perceive the world around us.
Achieving states of flow requires a “no-mind” commitment. To make art requires the act of losing oneself in the moment. What does this do? It makes you let go of what you were previously clinging to. You aren’t identifying with what is limiting or restricting. You are free and experiencing freedom and that freedom is a liberation of the self from past constraints.
I see connections with The Daimon to Self where it is thought of as one’s higher self –(the self ahead of self) and The Daimonion would be similar to one’s Holy Guardian Angel (Crowley’s Aiwass) / Conscience or “Inner voice”.
How do we communicate further with that inner-voice? How does one summon their Daimon?
The answers could lie within the flames.

I have written my essay - waited, and written a new essay and waited again. I wonder if there is a [Insert Geographic Area] pylon?
One of the big mistakes people make when considering joining the Temple is worrying if there is a Pylon in their area. At its core the Temple teaches an individual approach and while local Setians are good to have knowledge that they are there (or not) shouldn’t be a deciding factor. “We’re all in this alone” as the saying goes. Alternately, you have to approach Chapel Perilous all on your own as Robert Anton Wilson would say.
No Profane Political Agenda
