"I Stayed, You Strayed"
I crossed an ocean with my heart in hand,
Left behind a life, a name, a plan.
Learned your language, built a home,
All to find I was loving alone.
You said you were tired, too stressed to care,
But not too tired to meet her there —
In motels, in chats, behind my back,
While I cooked, while I worked, while I cracked.
I believed in you more than I believed in me.
I called you handsome, even when you didn’t see.
Now I see clearly, painfully so —
You stayed beside me, but chose to go.
You met her while I stayed at home,
Hungry, crying, cold and alone.
You said it was the medicine, the stress, the pain —
But what about mine, again and again?
I whispered, “나 없으면 괜찮아?”
You didn’t answer. You never do.
But I’ve started asking for me, not you —
Just to hear my voice come through.
Now I call you “that man,” no longer mine.
The tone is distant, the love declined.
You don’t look the same — not because you changed,
But because I finally rearranged
The way I see you.
Not a partner.
Not a protector.
Not even a friend.
Just a man
who let a woman he promised
sleep beside questions
and wake up beside silence.
