Seventeen Hogwarts AU - Intro
Here are some short intro profiles of the boys at Hogwarts. More detailed information, as well as reasoning for houses, will come in the house by house breakdowns. *Despite the year placings, I would still view them as around the ages they are irl.
Seungcheol: Gryffindor/7th year/Head Boy. An excellent leader and friend, and a fairly decent student too. Someone everyone trusts and admires, and his only weakness is that sometimes he’s too soft on his friends and is a bit of a pushover. Used to be the Captain & Keeper on his house’s quidditch team, but quit in his 7th year to focus on his NEWTs. Despite being a Gryffindor, he tries his hardest to be the best qualities of all the houses, so he can be a good leader to everyone that looks up to him and not let them down.
Jeonghan: Slytherin/6th year/Prefect. The living definition of “minimum effort, maximum results”. He may be extremely lazy and a little manipulative, but he has mastered the art of getting things done in the quickest and easiest way possible. He considers people to be his best asset, so he spends extra time looking out for and ‘nurturing’ the younger students. It may have surprised some, but it’s his interest in people and knack for efficiency that made him perfect for the job of Prefect.
Jisoo: Hufflepuff/6th year/Prefect. Kind, gentle and unassuming, he’s probably everyone’s favourite senior. He’s extremely good at settling arguments and comforting his juniors, and he, Jeonghan and Seungcheol make a great team on the leadership body. He’s very committed to everything he does, whether it be schoolwork, his friendships or being extra and trying to crack jokes and make the younger ones laugh.
Junhui: Hufflepuff/6th year/Chaser. Talented at everything but very humble, his friends are the most important thing in the world to him. He’s the friend people can tell anything to, no matter how embarrassing and problematic;he turned down the offer to be prefect so that he wouldn’t lose their trust. It is a known fact that he gives the best hugs. Always the most happy when the people around him are shining and doing their best and he does everything he can to help them achieve that.
Soonyoung: Ravenclaw/6th year/Beater & Captain. Very active, mentally and physically, his brain is always moving from one idea to the next, not always in the order he wants it to. He spends a lot of his classes doodling quidditch plays and dance choreos, and often spends his free time reading up on the next term’s work because he finds it interesting. Half the time he’s very excitable and funny, and the other half he is focused and relaxed, which makes almost everyone at the school love him.
Wonwoo: Ravenclaw/6th year. A level-headed and considerate guy, he was a little unsure of himself as a younger student but now is very confident and happy with himself. He thinks a lot of things but doesn’t always find them worth saying, which makes many think he’s cold, but his friends know that his words are always honest and meaningful. Often skips classes to read, sleep or write, and is barely passing most subjects, but he doesn’t really care.
Jihoon: Slytherin/5th year/Prefect. He’s the top student in his year, incredibly hard-working and wise. He can be a bit of a perfectionist, but only because he is very passionate, and not only wants the best for himself, but also for those he cares about. When he’s not too busy, he actually gives really great advice, and he’s always honest. Music is his heart and soul, and it’s what allows him to keep an open mind and heart.
Seokmin: Hufflepuff/5th year/Prefect/Beater. Cheerful and bright, he’s great at making people feel loved and special. He’s not the best with words, but he knows how to make people smile, and that is his greatest joy in life. His friends are no joke to him, though, and any wrong word or action in their direction can really set him off. He’s never had to fight anyone yet, because his position as beater is enough leverage to scare them off.
Mingyu: Gryffindor/5th year/Seeker & Captain. His size and status may scare some at first, but he is incredibly kind and caring, if a little stubborn. He’s always afraid of hurting people’s feelings, so he only jokes around with his friends, who know he loves them; in turn, he doesn’t mind being the butt of their jokes because he knows they love him. Very skilled in many areas and is always willing to help where he can.
Minghao: Slytherin/4th year/Keeper. Still quite young but very self-assured. He is confident and commands respect from his peers but is also known to be a lot of fun and is greatly loved. He is very observant of those around him, and is a solid and ever present support to both his peers and his older friends. He wants to be head boy someday, but for now he loves parties.
Seungkwan: Gryffindor/4th year. Outgoing and lively, he knows how to make any situation fun for everyone, even if its at his own expense. Incredibly selfless and will throw himself under the bus to help or protect someone else. “I’m putting my ass on the line for you, so this better be worth it. My ass is very valuable.” He MCs and announces for all school events; if there’s a microphone, he’s on it. He has a brilliant way with words that leaves people either in stitches or in tears.
Hansol: Ravenclaw/4th year. A somewhat reserved, quiet boy that people often underestimate. However, when he’s comfortable and around people he trusts, he is much more open and expressive. He’s very artistic and creative, with a love for writing poetry, but only his closest friends know this. Spends most of his time learning about music and literature, and only manages to pass his magic classes because of his talent in practical tests.
Chan: Gryffindor/3rd year/Chaser. He’s very young, but found his place quickly at Hogwart’s thanks to the welcoming seniors he calls his friends. He’s still very wide-eyed and really enjoys getting involved in everything he can, and learning as much as possible; he puts his all into everything and it really shows. He’s already quite mature, and very firm in his beliefs and his determination to defend and support others.
