“These exquisitely detailed paintings show how Motorola envisioned the future in 1961”
The two tone trend is everywhere; from fingers, to frocks to locks…but why stop there? When it comes to fun in the sun, two is always better than one…so grab a friend and that bin of bright nail polishes (we know you have one) to add some shade to your shades! Watch this DIY go down on our new series on StyleList.com, “Pretty Savvy” presented by Jeep! Get inspired all Summer long as Erica presents a collection of j’amazing new projects; from fresh fashions to artsy accessories and more.
To create: Use paper tape to separate the top half from the bottom of the sunglasses. Using your first nail polish color, paint on an even layer onto the top half of the sunglasses. If the lacquer appears opaque, paint an additional layer. Remove the tape and paint the bottom half with an alternate nail polish color. For a glossy finish, apply a top coat.
This summer enter the “Pretty Savvy” Sweepstakes for the chance to win a weekly prize of $500 and a Grand Prize of $1,000! Click here to find out all the details!

Between crushes, fascinations and lust-have trends, our sea of inspiration is never-ending, which brings me to my latest obsession… the color MINT! From my manicures to my midnight snacks, I just cant get enough. I took a cue from my go-to hue and decided to inject a happy medium (literally) into my home. A new coat of paint can transform a room and your mood, but choosing the right color can be a little nerve-racking. I dove into this DIY with my head and paint brush held high knowing that Valspar’s Love Your Color Guarantee would be my safety net. Make your home stylish from the floor to ceiling with a freshly painted feeling!
To create: Chose three paint colors in a light, medium, and darker shade that hail from the same color family. I chose Valspar’s Ultra Green (light), Beach Blanket (medium), and Sea Treasure (dark).
STEP 1: Trim wall with painter’s tape and use a roller to paint entire wall the lightest hue. STEP 2: Paint a bottom panel with the darkest hue. STEP 3: Mix your medium and dark shade together to create the 2nd darkest color and paint a section. Next, move up on the wall and paint the 3rd section the middle color only. STEP 4: Blend the colors together using a smaller paint brush that is DRY, until areas and lines bleed together. You may need to touch up with mixed paint as you go, as it takes on an amazing ombré effect.
P.S.- A few of Erica’s favorite things: Melissa di Menna Print, Jonathan Adler Tray, CB2 Console Table, Satya Twena Hats, Moroccan Rug, from my travels!

Macaroons always look so fancy and delicious! But I've heard they're insanely hard to make! These seem to be much easier then their edible counterparts.

Marbled Glassware | Honestly WTF
You don’t need anything fancy to create these pretty cups - just painters tape, water and nail polish! This would be great to use up your nail polish colours that you love but don’t love on your fingers. The process is very similar to tutorials on how to do marbled nail polish, except much less messier on your hands!
This would be perfect for a gift for my shot glass lovin' friends!
