Residence Halls Open Early!
Due to the predicted inclement weather resulting from Tropical Storm Harvey, SFA Residence Life is providing an earlier opening to help accommodate our students who live in the areas likely to be affected.
Residence Life facilities will now open on Thursday, August 24. Check-in will be available from 1 to 7 p.m. at your hall.

at orientation they talked about being able to sign up for a payment plan but whenever i go to "payment plans" of the sfa website i just get a message that says "there are no active plans available at this time"... when will they be available?
Great question. Installment Payment Plans for Fall 2017 will be available on August 11th. Please keep in mind that you must have a previous balance of $0 in order to sign up for a payment plan and that the first payment will be due on 08/27/2017 which is a Sunday and the day before classes!

so ill be living in Griffith hall in the fall and for awhile i had no assigned roommate but i checked today and i have an assigned roommate. where can i apply for a private room?
Hi there! Private rooms do not become available until after all students have housing. You will speak to hall staff, or your Hall Director, once you arrive on campus and they will add you to a waiting list. After everyone has moved in, hall staff will start to offer private rooms on a first come/first serve basis.

Hello! Excellent question. If you have already been to orientation, you should have your username and password for mySFA. Once logged on, you will see the “Billing” tab, click on it and then select “Pay Online with Ebill.” You should see your balance. This is also where you are able to sign up for a payment plan if you need it.
If you’re having trouble with mySFA, try this.

The College of Fine Arts at Stephen F. Austin State University will present five national touring acts in the 2017-18 University Series, building on its tradition of bringing leading professional artists to East Texas.

Battle of the Piney Woods has been going on since the year 1923.It is the rivalry between the Sam Houston State Bearkats and the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks.

SFA’s beautiful recreation center. Featuring a heated outdoor leisure pool with three lap lanes, a 270-foot lazy river, a 13-foot diving well and spa with hydrotherapy bench. Inside you will find a climbing wall with a 13-foot bouldering cave, basketball and racquetball courts and much much more!
